I really like the button setup on this especially compared to some other brands out there. I have a large head and these still fit nicely when some other brands do not. My biggest gripe is the microphone sounds pretty bad, that is definitely keeping it from being a 5 star rating.

The only difference being that they have a few special features for ps5 like game/chat mix buttons. They would be perfect if they worked with xbox series x too.

Horrible Headphones and Best Buy service

Their new Inzone line offers an interesting departure from the norm: high quality, feature rich gear suitable for both consoles and PCs that stand apart more for their minimalist, distinctive styling and high tech flourishes than RGB laden excess. The H7 headset epitomizes this approach. The lightweight headset with its striking PS5 inspired design is packed with tech to deliver an optimized gaming experience with minimal bulk. The core feature set should be very familiar to anyone who's tried a gaming headset recently. Connectivity is provided either via a dedicated RF dongle or Bluetooth, with the former providing slightly higher audio quality and reliability. A clicky volume control wheel is placed on the left side, with minimal controls to switch between PC and Console modes, power, and Bluetooth pairing on the left. If you're just after a quick plug-and-play experience, you can be up and running more or less immediately and get the full benefit of Sony's excellent audio pedigree. Paired with their free Inzone hub software, however, and you unlock one of the better 3D audio experiences I've seen from headsets boasting simulated surround sound. Most of this is down to Sony's research into binaural audio, which takes advantage of the shape of your ear to create a more natural soundscape. Sony's taken this approach a step further than most by incorporating software that analyzes an image of your ear and fine tunes the output to your specific ear shape rather than just using a generic model. This is a feature that's shown up a lot in their headsets and earbuds lately, and I have to say that it really comes into its own here. The environmental audio in games is fantastic, particularly when it comes to simulating echo-rich environments and enemy footsteps. I'm not sure it's going to give you any kind of competitive advantage, but it certainly helps for immersion. Also helping the H7 stand out is the fact that the headset is very comfortable to wear for prolonged play sessions. As bulky as it appears at first glance the headset feels like it weighs next to nothing when you're putting it on. I also appreciated that the soft, very breathable earcups don't do much to trap heat while still doing at least a decent job of noise isolation. My one concern is that they don't really appear to be designed for easy removal or replacement and may be a bit too porous to regularly wipe clean, but truth be told I've found headsets often don't last long enough for that to be necessary anyway. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a more immersive headset option for VR, sims, and multiplayer games, or overall fans of Sony's current monochromatic aesthetic.

Comfortable and Cover Big Ears Nicely

My ears are larger so I appreciate the larger earcups which cover my ear completely and do not clamp down on any part of my ear. The padding is extremely soft and made of a material that does not cause sweating as you play games on your PC. I wear glasses and these headphones absolutely did not pinch my head even with the glasses on for a period of 2 hours. So the comfort test was a resounding success. Tip of the cap to the designers of the physical characteristics of these headphones. Pairing was very simple. I used the dongle inserted into a PC USB slot and pretty much instantly the unit paired. I noticed no phase shift between audio and video. This is a good check to ensure the phones will handle gaming and also even Youtube videos and keep everything in sync. Well done Sony. The mic boom also was simple to move and mute your voice – you can feel and hear a slight click as the mic boom moves to set mute on or off. I really liked that feedback. I played War Thunder and Forza motorsport games and the sounds were crisp; and even small background echoes were easy to hear. I used both a gaming laptop and also a gaming desktop system. Both had very nice specs and the systems and headset seemed to complement each other to make an effective gaming environment. This headset is solid, handles my ear size and was relatively light. The top band had a nice firm size adjustment and the underside of the top band was perfectly padded so that I also didn’t feel any pressure on the top of my head. The headset holds to your head as you move quickly up or down and left to right. They are worth the price and I highly recommend this headset.

Solid Gaming Headset With One Con

They’re pretty sleek and modern, I hope they eventually allow some type of customization to them in the future to allow other users to have it match their gaming set-ups. They are very lightweight and comfortable. The pads cover the entire ear and they don't squeeze, which is great because unlike other headsets I've had that tend to squeeze my head and I have to take a break from them. So you’ll be good with them for long periods of time without them bothering you. Probably the only thing I didn’t like was that the microphone was not extendable. The mic still picked up everything I said but it took getting used to not being able to manipulate the mic extender. The sounds are clear and clean. And the spatial sound feature is very good. Pairing with different devices is very quick and easy. The USB connection tool is super straightforward and is pretty much plug-and-play. I think gamers can expect to really enjoy these headphones and they’ll love the long battery life that it brings. Overall I would highly recommend this to anyone for even everyday use.
