Hi HMart, thank you for sharing your honest review of your experience using the WFLS900N. We're sorry if the headphones override's the connection when it is outside the case. As part of the normal operation, when the last-connected Bluetooth device is placed near the headset, the headset may connect automatically to the device by simply turning on the headset. If this is the case, deactivate the Bluetooth function on the last-connected device or turn off the power.

Thank you for your time writing this review. While we are glad you like the sound quality, noise canceling features, and connectivity of your Sony LinkBuds S, we're sorry to hear if you are having issues when using the headset for phone call. Allow us to help make this a better experience.

You may try some solutions below if your voice does not reach the person during a call or your voice is low on the caller’s side:
Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears.
If the size of the earbud tips does not match the size of your ear canals or the headset is not worn properly in your ears, tap operations or Speak-to-Chat speech detection may not work correctly, or you may not obtain the correct sound qualities, noise canceling effects, or call performance.
Restart the Bluetooth device such as your smartphone or computer, and reconnect with the headset.
Reset the headset.
Initialize the headset, and pair the headset and the device again.
