While we're glad to hear you are enjoying its incredible audio, we're sorry to learn that you are having some Bluetooth connection issues on your Sony LinkBuds S. The communication between the devices will be poor if there is an obstruction between the unit and the connected device.

To ensure you get the best Bluetooth connection, please set the headphones Bluetooth Connection Mode to “Priority on stable connection”. You may also find the link below helpful.

We also recommended updating the firmware of the headphones (via the Sony Headphones Connect app) for optimum performance. The software update improves the general performance of the unit and includes key features, applications, and bug fixes.

Thanks for sharing your review and experience with the LinkBuds S. Your feedback about the design and connectivity is greatly appreciated.

For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is up-to-date (via the Sony Headphones Connect app).

When using the charging case, make sure that both earbuds are placed properly into the case. Put the left unit of the headset (the unit with the tactile dot) back into the left hole of the charging case, and put the right unit of the headset back into the right hole of the charging case. Each unit of the headset will be set to the correct position in the charging case by the built-in magnet. When the remaining battery charge of the charging case is sufficient, the indicator (orange or green) on the charging case lights up for about 3 seconds. The charging starts on the headset. If the headset continues to play even if both earbuds are placed properly on the charging case, reset and initialize the headset. Please refer to the steps on these links:

For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is up-to-date (via the Sony Headphones Connect app).

It is recommended to wear both earbuds properly. If the size of the earbud tips does not match the size of your ear canals or the headset is not worn properly in your ears, tap operations or Speak-to-Chat speech detection may not work correctly, or you may not obtain the correct sound qualities, noise canceling effects, or call performance. If any of this is the case, try the following:

-Change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The size of the left and right earbud tips may be different.
-The “Sony | Headphones Connect” app will help you to determine which earbud tips are most suitable for you to achieve the optimal noise cancellation effect.
-Wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.

Additionally, you can use the Equalizer/CLEAR BASS setting of the Sony app to fine-tune the sound quality to your needs. For more information, please refer to these links:

Hi Drew4723, While we're glad that you like the sound quality noise canceling function, stable connection, and EQ customization, we regret that you find the right bud uncomfortable. For comfortable listening experience, twist the headset unit to slide the earbud tip deep into your ear canal.
