I was pleasantly surprised that I am able to go running and cycling in them without issue. A lot of reviews indicated this would be an issue - but for me it was not. The silicon interchangeable pieces do a far better job than you would think securing it, just make sure you actually get them in your ear the right way (I suspect many people with issues are not placing them properly). Sound is great for what they are. Battery life is good, better than okay but lower than outstanding. I have a lot of issues with my ear and pressure changes, these cause none which is fantastic. Overall highly recommend.

If your ears are normal they should be great if you need a more natural transparency. However I can't recommend them personally as they don't fit my ears

Thank you for the review. If the headset is out of your ears, you feel uncomfortable when wearing the headset or your ears hurt.
M-sized fitting supporters come attached to the left and right units of the headset at the time of purchase. When the headset is worn following the procedures described above and you feel the size of the fitting supporters does not fit your ears, change the fitting supporters to another size to comfortably and snugly fit your left and right ears.

Best Earbuds Ever

Having something stick into your ear canal is so uncomfortable I had written off ever moving on from my normal noise cancelling Sony 1000XM3s. Then I saw these passive earbuds and I decided to give them a chance. They are amazingly comfortable and with the summer coming I am very happy to finally have earbuds to wear during heat waves instead of the aforementioned XM3s. Not only are they comfortable but features like automatically pausing when you speak and being able to tap your face to control them just sweeten the pot. A minor gripe is that I wish the bluetooth signal range was more stable. If your phone is in your pocket though you should be fine in all situations. I couldn't recommend these linkbuds with anymore vigor. I was very skeptical, but they are simply incredible.

I also think the area that the opening is at, I wish there was a softer material around it, because this was the area that made my ears sore. The idea is great but, needs some improvement. Good sound but not a great fit for me.

The sound is fed directly to the ear and has minimal outside exposure. I had to return them though because after an hour my ears would get sore from the actual speakers sitting and pressing against the inner ear.

While we're happy you are enjoying the good sound and most of the features, we regret to know that you're having issues with the unit particularly with the fit of the unit. The LinkBuds may fall out or feel uncomfortable during use if you don't wear the LinkBuds properly or the ear fitting supporters are not correct for your ears.
• As a suggestion, to reduce discomfort while wearing the headset, try to change the fitting supporters to another size that fits your ears better and feel more comfortable. The size of the left and right fitting supporters may be different.
We recommend starting with the larger sizes and working your way down to the smaller sizes until you find the best fit.
• Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears.

The awkward shape took a while to get used to but when you get used to them you start to forget you ever had them in youre ears because of how well outside noise passes through.

Lots of choices for wing tips will accommodate any ear shape. Not so good was the connection to bluetooth device. Connection was not good, kept breaking up. Same bluetooth device on three year old Beats earbuds worth seamlessly with no connection issues at all.

Good little 'always on' ear buds.

They sound good, they are open so you don't get sound isolation and they aren't none conduction so you do notice the sound coming from earphones instead of sounding like a part of the environment. They are fairly comfortable, you do have to play with sizing the wings, and your ears might not be the same size on each side. You can use either bud individually, I think this came in an update that was available immediately on pairing with my phone. You will need to get the Sony headphone app. The app does have some nice features, including a 5 bands EQ and speak-to-chat which allows you to pause your music when you start speaking. I would recommend leaving this off if you like to sing to your music though. TL;DR: these are good, though not perfect. These are most useful if you want to wear something that doesn't block your surroundings.

If the headset is not worn properly in your ears, you may not obtain the correct sound qualities or call performance. The LinkBuds may also fall out or feel uncomfortable during use if you don't wear the LinkBuds properly or the ear fitting supporters are not correct for your ears.
• Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears.
• Select a different size fitting supporter and align the protruding part of the LinkBud with the cutout on the fitting supporter. Make sure to insert the fitting supporter completely.
• After attaching the fitting supporter, check that there is no movement on the LinkBuds. (Shake your head back and forth.)
Note: If they fall off or move in your ears when you shake your head, select a different size. The best fitting supporter may be different for each ear.

That is these headphones. You know what they failed on? The case doesn’t need to be as small as the headphones for crying out loud it gets lost when you blink your eyes I loved these headphones so much. I recommended them to my roommate who also went out and got some two days later, she couldn’t find the case you know where I found them? On the lawn three months later when I was mowing it and by chance, my foot hit it, and I went down to pick up a rock to get it away from the lawnmower blade and realized it was her headphone case but you know it was awesome? They still worked even though we live in the Pacific Northwest and it had probably been rained on over 80 times it still worked four days later she lost the case again we’ve never seen it since….. oh and I almost forgot. I returned mine a few days later because they broke for no reason they just stopped working made a fuzzy noise fizzled out never worked again, but that doesn’t change the fact that my roommates pair was awesome.

Issue i have is NOOO BASE. I would rathet get some noise cancelling ear buds with an ambient setting. Way too expensive compared to ANC with good ambient setting on the market

Met my needs but still disappointing

They work great for that. The sound quality isn't great for music though (considering the price). I somehow managed to partially blow out one of the listening to music that had heavy bass even though the volume wasn't that loud which was rather disappointing. If / when I replace them, I'll try a different brand / style of open earbuds based on how disappointing these were. They also struggle sometimes with the Bluetooth connection when my phone is in my pocket if I'm outside. It's frustrating to have to pull out my phone and hold it my hand so that the audio doesn't keep breaking up.

Augmented reality for your ears

They sound good but not great, the battery life is nothing impressive and the hinge clasp kinda sucks. So why do I give them a 5 on value? They are unique and can easily change your life. I can watch a YouTube video, podcast, listen to music, catch up on the news while holding a normally conversation. I used these to enjoy some tunes while eating dinner with my mother in law and for me there was no awkward silence or listening to people chew and I didn't have to compromise on what I listened to. These headphones are the only product I have ever seen that truly let you augment your reality without being cumbersome or gimmicky. These are headphones you'll never need to take out of your ears unless you need to charge them.
