For optimum fit and comfort, it is recommended to wear the headphones properly. The ear fitting supporters must be tucked under the ear groove in each ear. Be careful to not force the ear fitting supporter as it may rotate the LinkBuds and cause the ear fitting supporter to pop out from under the ear groove. If the ear fitting supporter is too small, the supporter may fit loosely and fall out. If this happens, replace it with a larger size and check the fit again. The position of the driver units, housing units, and ear fitting supports must also be properly positioned. For each ear, make sure the driver unit covers the lower portion of the concha near the opening of the ear, the housing is in between the opening of the ear and the ear groove, and the ear fitting supporter is tucked under the ear groove.

We're so sorry to hear if an earache occurs when putting on our WF-L900 LinkBuds and they did not fit your ears well. This is definitely not the customer experience we want you to have. The LinkBuds may fall out or feel uncomfortable during use if you don't wear the LinkBuds properly or the ear fitting supporters are not correct for your ears.

• Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears.
• If you feel the size of the fitting supporters does not fit your ears, change the fitting supporters to another size that fits your ears better.
• After attaching the fitting supporter, check that there is no movement on the LinkBuds. (Shake your head back and forth.)
Note: If they fall off or move in your ears when you shake your head, select a different size. The best fitting supporter may be different for each ear.
• If you wear the headset for a long time, your ears may start hurting. Use the headset while taking breaks periodically.

Thank you for telling us about your experience with your LinkBuds. We're sorry to learn you've been running into difficulty. If the headset is not worn properly in your ears, you may not obtain the correct sound qualities or call performance. If the part of the headset where sound is output is not oriented correctly toward the ear canal, the sound quality may sound poor or the left and right sound localization may sound misaligned. Make sure to turn on Speak-to-Chat mode. To activate the Speak-to-Chat mode, Speak-to-Chat must be enabled in advance. In the factory settings, Speak-to-Chat is disabled. To enable, change the setting with the “Sony Headphones Connect” app. And these also take to custom equalizing within the app. The LinkBuds have the ability to adjust the equalizer in the App to preset settings or save your own custom equalizer settings.

The LinkBuds may fall out or feel uncomfortable during use if you don't wear the LinkBuds properly or the ear fitting supporters are not correct for your ears.

• As a suggestion, to reduce discomfort while wearing the headset, try to change the fitting supporters to another size that fits your ears better and feel more comfortable. The size of the left and right fitting supporters may be different.
We recommend starting with the larger sizes and working your way down to the smaller sizes until you find the best fit.
• Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears.

Regarding the sound quality and the build quality of the case and earbuds, there are a few things you might consider to potentially improve your experience.

Ensure that the earbud tips fit snugly in your ears. The correct fit can significantly enhance sound quality and noise cancellation. You might want to try different sizes of earbud tips to find the best fit.
Check that you are wearing the earbuds properly. The earbud tip should be comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.
Use the "Sony | Headphones Connect" app to adjust sound settings and ensure you are using the optimal Bluetooth connection (A2DP) for better sound quality

While the materials used might feel less premium, they are designed to be lightweight and functional. If you have concerns about durability, ensure you handle the case and earbuds with care to avoid damage.

While we're glad you like comfortable open-ring design, we regret to hear that it hasn't performed to your standards, particularly with the tap operation function of the unit. For the LinkBuds, you can change the function assignments to the left and right units of the headset using the Sony Headphones Connect app however you want based on your use cases. In the default settings, the operations below are assigned. (You can use either the left or right unit)

• Play/Pause: Tap the headset or in the area near your ear twice quickly (with an interval of about 0.2 seconds).
• Skip to the beginning of the next track: Tap the headset or in the area near your ear 3 times quickly (with an interval of about 0.2 seconds).

In addition to tapping around your ear, tap operations are detected when you tap the headset unit.

Note: In the factory settings, you cannot adjust the volume on the headset. Adjust the volume on the connected device. If you are unable to adjust the volume on the connected device, install the Sony Headphones Connect smartphone app and adjust the volume in the app. Know that we take all feedback seriously and will pass your suggestions along to the proper team for future enhancement.
