Great remote to use for watching Blu-ray movies or streamed movies. Much easier than using the controller.

This is great if your PS3 is the main DVD player in your system. It is way better than using the PS3 controller.

Son love`s it a lot , was a christmas gift to him. Says he is very happy with the remote.

This is probably a fine remote, but it requires you to have 3.60 firmware or higher to use. For most people this won't be a problem, but for the select few who are staying on 3.55 your out of luck. I returned mine as I didn't want to update. Wish someone had written about this before I bought mine and saved me the trouble. I will stick with the PS3 controller for now.

Unless you have a expensive Logitech adaptor and remote for bluetooth this remote is the best you can get as the PS3 does not support IR commands just bluetooth. You can control it over HDMI but then have latency, or get a IR dongle but then get a cheap remote and can't hide the dongle and must keep it plugged in.

Has limited use for tv controls won't work on my high dolor Yamaha sound . Could have saved 25 and just kept using my game controller. It doesn't have a charger hookup to charge batteries and it seams to use a lot more power than you would think

bought this so we wouldn't have to use the ps3 remote, but it is taking some getting used to - still default to the ps3 remote!

The functionality in my 3-button Apple TV remote makes more sense than all the buttons on this remote. It works as a simple DVD remote for the PS3... no instructions on how to program it as a universal remote for my TV, Cable or other non-Sony devices... I'm quite diappointed. I was hoping this would eliminate my clutter of remotes but instead its an addition to them all!

I went to purchase a 2nd PS3 remote control as I have 2 PS3's and was using a controller for the 2nd. I picked up this one ecstatic that it was IR as well as BT. It works just as well as the previous model for the PS3, no change there. The IR support for my Panasonic TV works great as well. When I went to program in my Denon receiver, no go... The remote ONLY supports 3 different SONY AV receiver codes. No support for any other brand. So I am still stuck requiring 2 remotes to watch a movie. One for my receiver's volume, and one for the DVD/BD movie. Sorely disappointed that considering every other Sony universal remote works with my AV equipment and the PS3 "semi-universal" remote does not.

This remote has died beyond on repair two times for us. Works fine until it craps out! Will not purchase again.

I bought the 320GB PS3 Uncharted bundle in December and this remote does not work for my PS3.
