It definitely gives keeps you able to to stay in the game and takes away the worry of your camera die without a backup battery.

We have been using this brand for quite some time due to it's longevity. Record in high quality HD for hours and hours. We do BTS recording and photoshoots and only need 2 batteries for the whole day. Usually when we get to the 2nd battery, its been more than half a day of non-stop content. Highly recommend, even if it is just your back up battery.
I would recommend this to a friendGood battery. A bit pricey.

However, since after the newest firmware update, the generic batteries always causes the cameras to pop up a warning about non-official batteries. I figured, probably should just invest in at least an officail battery. Do not really need a lot of batteries anyway since these last a long time and a single battery is enough to last a day, at least for me.

I do have a second battery just in case I need it but so far as a hobbyist I have been just fine without the 2nd battery. This is a HUGE step up from the prior generation battery for my A7 that I needed to carry minimum 4 batteries. Now, with my new A7R3, battery is no longer a big concern. Again, I do have 2nd battery in case I happen to go really crazy on a photo shoot.

great long lasting battery!

This one lasts so much longer than the previous design sony used in their mirrorless cameras. I can use one battery in camera and 1 spare with no concern about running low on power even for a weekend photo session. Great job Sony! Now if only we could get the price down a bit on these... wishful thinking.

So went straight to Bestbuy and picked this up. The battery itself is amazing and lasts a really long time. With a full charge, I am easily getting 600+ shots in uncompressed RAW which is amazing. Very impressive!

I'm able to use my camera all day long without worrying that the battery will die, even in very cold weather. (-20C) I just need the camera itself not to use so much bettery energy while in sleep mode.

Best batteries for your Sony Camera

Legendary Sony "Z" batteries. Guaranteed authentic and work amazing. I've tried cheaper aftermarket batteries and yes, they work, but they don't hold charge as long. Stick with authentic Sony for the best performance.
