The Sony NP-FZ100 is the industry standard for a reason. Here is why it’s the only option that makes sense: Reliability: The power discharge is linear. When the camera says you have 5% left, you actually have 5% left. No sudden shutdowns in the middle of a shot. Stamina: In real-world use on an A7IV or A7R V, I’m getting well over 600 shots. If you’re shooting video, the heat management is significantly better than the "Wasabi" or "Neewer" alternatives.

I have a Sony @C7ii camera, having extra batteries is not enough and especially when they are OEM. Always buy OEM products. Not saying that third parties don't work but they can be faulty (just be careful but they do work) and that will definitely damage you camera that you invested. If you have much the extra money to buy OEM then don't think it twice go ahead and buy it.

I bought this battery as a backup because I only shoot events occasionally, so I didn’t notice the problem until after the return window had already passed. I use both a Full-Frame and an APS-C camera. The first time I used the battery, it lasted around 17–20 minutes and seemed okay. But during a graduation shoot, my camera suddenly powered off while I was taking photos, and I couldn’t turn it back on. I honestly thought my camera had broken even though I hadn’t been shooting very long. I switched to my APS-C camera to continue the job. Later, when that battery ran low, I inserted this backup battery. It powered on at first, but after a short time the camera shut off again, just like with my Full-Frame camera. Unfortunately, this battery has not been reliable for me. Since I don’t use it very often, I only discovered the issue after the return date had already passed, so there was nothing I could really do at that point. Would you recommend this product? I would still recommend Sony products overall because I’ve used Sony gear for a long time, and this is the first battery issue I’ve personally experienced. I don’t want to say “No” based on a single bad battery since no manufacturer is perfect. That said, I would strongly recommend testing the battery immediately after purchase. If there’s any issue, it’s much easier to follow up, exchange, or return it within the return period.
