When you pause them you have to stop whatever you are doing to hold down the options button for 5 seconds to be able to then finally use the play button again. it is really a stupid feature.

Options button is also used as Power switch and the Hold function which can be problematic and annoying at times. Haven't used disconnected for any period of time so I can't comment on battery life.

I had to replace my first one that I bought 5 years ago due to software virus getting in from my desktop. The latest two are the new version of my first and they are fantastic. Highly recommended!

Went to download my songs and it wouldn't allow me to so now I have to search the Internet to do some research.

However, I could not get the thing to work. It got stuck on "creating library" and would never recover even after multiple restarts and using a paper clip to push the button on the back to supposedly reset the machine. I connected it to my MacBook, which did recognize it and it looked as if I was able to load songs onto it, but once I disconnected it, all it would do was keep saying "creating library." I took it back to the store and got a refund.
