Q: I want nothing to do with Apple or Itunes. Will this work without using Apple or Itunes?
A: Yes you install the software so your computer can see the device and you can use Windows media player to add songs to this mp3 player.
Q: can i transfer my old CD's onto this player?
A: Yes. I used windows media player to transfer my music.
Q: Does it have a shuffle command.
A: Yes, the NWZE384BLK has a shuffle all option wherein you can listen to all the songs stored on your Walkman in random order.
A: The device does not have a built in microphone.

A: Yes, You can Drag and Drop into the music folder on the player!!!

Q: Does this have Bluetooth so it could be paired to a speaker?
A: Unfortunately no.
Q: Can I use as recorder directly from fm radio?
A: I didn't know it could. I just use it for storing pictures, songs and videos I like. You can listen to radio on it didn't know you could record the radio on it and don't think you can.
