I used to be a Playstation-only guy. Had PS1 and PS2 exclusively for years until I got an Xbox 360. I've been mainly an Xbox guy ever since, but....I have to admit, Sony really nailed it with the PS4. The hardware is excellent, and the Dualshock 4 is a huge improvement over prior PS controllers and mostly superior to the Xbox controller. But where Sony really pulls ahead is, obviously, with the software exclusives. Once you finish Halo and Gears of War on Xbox, there are very few standout exclusives. Sony has tons of exclusives that are just fantastic - see Exhibit 1, "The Last of Us: Remastered." I'm not trying to fuel the console wars flame, and I am not getting rid of my Xbox. I think the two systems can peacefully coexist and I plan to play both. But, with the hardware being so similar, it's almost impossible to forget how important Sony's exclusive titles are to their continued success.

While everybody is trying to find one of the new systems, systems towards the end of their lives are actually fantastic to get. Playstation 4 is the very example of this. The library is HUGE with some excellent, genre defining games and the prices of those games are great. Yes, Playstation 5 will offer you an excellent 4k experience and better graphics and performance then Playstation 4, but Playstation 4 still remains a solid experience for 1080p gaming. Especially right now, with the worldwide silicon shortage and Covid increasing demand for technology, picking up a Playstation 4 will offer you a huge amount of entertainment for a great price for what you get. I do highly recommend it.

It's the best console I've ever owned. Planning on buying the ps5 soon, but this PS4 has had no issues. Storage space isn't an issue unless you're downloading lots of games that take up lots of space. If you only play select games, you're good!

With everyone staying home, my son needed something to break up his day and still socialize with his friends. The PlayStation provides my kids and their friends a way to stay in touch, play a game & social distance. PlayStation is always a good product & good price.

The PlayStation 4 is great for gaming, good graphics, and fun. I did not give this a 5 rating as I am somewhat disappointed with the controls of the controller. Seems like some of the buttons you do not use as much are placed awkwardly when you are trying to game quickly and efficiently. Overall its a great system.

I waited until the price was right!!! no pun intended, unbelievable picture and graphics on games.my entire home theater system besides the speakers is a Sony. When you get the PS4, It's hard to go away from the quality Sony products provide. All of my components are at least 10 years old and still going strong. highly recommend!

It's got an easy to use layout and games look amazing.

I was looking for an amazing gift for my boyfriend since he is a gamer and I knew once I saw his collection of ps4 games he owned I wanted to buy him a brand new one that's his to own..

My oldest son, the graphic artist, has embarked on some new work that requires him to have a PlayStation 4 console. This was on short notice, so we went to BestBuy and were able to get one at a good price. It's the second one we have in the house and the quality is still outstanding as always with SONY products.

Given the choice between the XBox and the PS4, our family decided on the PS4 given its longevity in the gaming industry, and the good reputation the Play Station has had. We picked it up on Black Friday and it is a great gaming console. We're looking forward to hours of entertainment. The price was perfect and we love it.

I already own an Xbox One but hated the fact I could not play MLB the Show. When I saw it was on sale for Black Friday I snagged one and I'm glad I did. The graphics are amazing. I still prefer using my Xbox for things like Netflix, but I love I can now play all the games that are exclusive to Playstation.

Bought as a Christmas gift that keeps on giving!! Our son will have many a happy moment playing individually and with friends. Price was right and the continued enjoyment will be priceless. You can't go wrong with this system as it will be a source of enjoyment for years to come. I would recommend this for all gamers...

I’ve had a 500GB HDD PS4 since its release, so glad to finally have the 1TB model! It looks great, seems to make much less noise than my last PS4 and the smaller console size is a good plus for me as well. Moving over downloads and save files is pretty painless if you’re upgrading... Overall very happy with the system!

i was playing fifa and and the console is amazing and the network for the account was esdy and the gameplay with no ads!

I've taken a break from video games and decided to get back into them recently. I've always been a fan of play station over the competing consoles. Easy to set up, the controller feels good in the hands, and the system is great for games and also watching movies/netflix. I also got a good deal through Black Friday.

Purchased on 4/29/20, and it was delivered on 5/1/20! Setup and initial installs were easy and painless. I purchased three games thru another merchant and I have been playing ever since. I really enjoy it!

Great console, and I know a great console since I already own a Xbox One S. Between the two though there isn't much of a difference. I love my xbox because it handles all my media consumption better (movies, tv, and misc) The reason I went and got a PS4 though is that I felt like over the last 5 years or so I missed out on a lot of really great games that would never come to PC or the Xbox. And as a gamer I couldn't allow this, so I wait until Black Friday I picked one up and 6 of the best games over the last couple years. It was a great buy at the price and I'm not looking back. Still love my Xbox One S though.
