He is so jealous that I have the special edition gold one. He is surprised at how good it looks. He thought it would be a cheesy looking gold. As for performance, it's a ps4. Works as expected. Be warned to get the charger for the controller. The battery life is short.

Only down side is the game selection. Verify that the games you play are accessible and you will not be disappointed.
