Perfect Gift! My Husband Is So Happy! I bought the PlayStation for my husband, and it turned out to be the best decision ever! He’s been dreaming about it for a long time, and now he plays with the biggest smile on his face. The quality is excellent, it runs fast, and the graphics are amazing. The Playstation 5 does offer a noticeable difference in graphics over the PS4, but it's not the largest difference in history. I feel like PS5 represents the smallest step yet. Nevertheless, it's the system from this generation that I've found the most value in. The seemless integration of PS4 compatibility with PS5 is one of it's biggest strengths. Frankly, I don't know if it would be as sought after if it hadn't had backwards compatibility. Be aware, however, that not all PSVR 1 games behave perfect with it. I found Rush of Blood, my favorite first gen VR game, to run rather buggy on PS5. Don't know if they'll ever patch that. Nevertheless, PS5 brings with it PSVR 2 which is greatly improved over the first generation VR set. One single cable to power it, and more advanced controllers, not to mention resolution that looks 4 times better. Also, PS5 has many (but not a ton) of the most popular movie streaming apps, as you would expect, and it's also compatible with both Bluray and HD bluray discs (if you get the disc playing version of the console). But the real star of the show has been the controller. Probably the most comfortable and most feature rich controller to date. The most irritating thing about the PS5, however, is its fairly small storage space. 1TB seems like a lot, but not for high end PS5 games, which sometimes can be as large as 100 GB or even more....1TB doesn't go far these days, and the games are so fast, they require a fast SSD and even getting a 2TB one is not cheap. 4TB ones are slightly more ideal, but they remain extremely expensive, often costing as much as the console. I wish it were easy and affordable to just get a cheap 8TB or more hard drive and just plug it in, but don't bother. Even though they work for playing PS4 games off of, they're extremely slow to be recognized by the console and sometimes they just don't work at all and require everything to be reset and rebooted. Prices on SSD need to come way down.

After finally getting my hands on one, the PS5 is truly an awe-inspiring system. Set up was very easy. (Update wait....not so much) The graphics are amazing! In some cases it's difficult to tell live TV flrom game footage. Load times have been greatly reduced to almost nothing. Transitions between game sequences are seamless. The new controller is awesome, It has taken me some time to appreciate how responsive it is to sooo many inputs. Pressure, position, touch... you can even blow on it! I MUST say to fully appreciate rhe PS5 you will need an up to date HD tv and a quality connection. If the HDMI that comes with the PS5 is too short, make sure you get a quality replacement. The PlayStation 5 is truly a performance machine.

Outstanding console. This version coming with the Horizon Forbidden West game as well provides a great game that not only has great gameplay but is gorgeous as well. No issues with the console at all.

Excellent console! Its the newest and hard to find, I was so surprised when I did. Love the PS5, but hate a Best Buy Associate was holding two PS5 consoles for themselves behind their counter. LOL I asked this man if those were on hold and he pretended not to hear me, and so I asked again and he looked at me, thought to himself for a second and said "oh... no they're not on hold" so I bought both.

Still runs perfectly like the day I bought it about 3 years ago. The team member Lucas at Best Buy in Denton made the process as easy and simple as possible to ensure I walk out the store with my PS5. With Progressive leasing I was able to make affordable payments without sweating breaking the bank.

Overall I still greatly enjoy Sony's lineup the PS5 has great graphics runs smoothly enjoy the audio that comes out of the remote and the fact that it's a mic as well. The only downside on this device for me is the amount of storage it comes with I didn't realize some games are 100gb+ so in order to have multiple games you will need to upgrade storage or purchase external.

Absolutely love it! The console is very good and feels great to play on. The haptics of the PS5 controller are insane, it really pulls you into the game. I didnt expect it to add so much to my gaming experience but now playing without it feels so much less fulfilling. The only critique I have is that so many of the games for the PS5 are huge. Depending on the games, I can usually only have about 5-8 downloaded at a time. But you can always redownload them without losing progress so it isn't that bad, just a little annoying to have to sit through so many downloads. Horizon Zero Dawn was one of my favorite games on the PS4 and Forbidden West is even better. It improved on so much of Zero Dawn and added a whole new layer to the story. It's one of those stories where you can tell the developers intended to do more than just one game. It doesn't feel like its sequel story was just stuck to the end but was actually foreshadowed many times in Zero Dawn, making it feel more together.
