Love the how fast load screens are now and quick the system is. Now in a few more years we will see if the OS gets bloated and makes it feel sluggish but right now top notch. Horizon was a great game it was more of the original which i can see being a deal breaker for some But i truly enjoy playing around in that world.

I waited a couple years before I could get my hands on this thing. I have been a PlayStation fan since the PS2. So, with that said I am happy with the PS5. Definitely is much bigger than the previous models but the speed and pictures it produces are beautiful.

It took me some time to finally get my PS5, but Im glad I got it when I did. This does feel like the next step in gaming between the controllers, the graphics, and alot of new features. Having the ability to play PS4 games was a great way to ease into the PS5, especially considering that I still have a few on my backlog that I need to finish, and having some that are free upgrades is great. As far as the graphics go, they are pretty amazing, especially when you see things like Ray Tracing. And the haptic feedback on the controller is used very well for certain games, though some aren't as well implemented. Being able to not only add in an NVMe card as well as an external is great because these games are quite large. So if you plan on getting this, make sure you have extra storage (and a heatsink). Overall, if you've been on the fence for getting a PS5, whether because you're waiting for games or can't find one, now is the time. I definitely recommend this system.

I'm actually glad I was forced into the Horizon bundle. I've never played the original, so now I'm intrigued and enticed. The PS5 has one thing wanting, a single dynamic wallpaper. I do miss that on the PS4, but then the entire system is a series of dynamic wallpapers depending on what I'm clicking on, so that is a NICE touch. I prefer the layout of the PS5 to the PS4, and it's a bit more intuitive for simple usage, but it is hard to tell whether I'm clicking on the store or a customer review, but the seemless experience is very nice. The speed and quality of how it handles games is also a nice touch. The one thing I don't quite understand is why it needs to automatically update my PS4 games. It picks specific ones, so I'm assuming it's based on what has PS5 upgrade patches, but it downloads the whole game. I'm hoping this isn't going to be a problem as it relates to if I plug my external drive back into my PS4, and I haven't checked, but it is a little disconcerting. Oh, DO NOT use sleep mode unless you turn it into a PS4. So have ALL special functions turned off, just controller recharging. No online functionality at all. If that is on, it will eventually brick the system, and Sony hasn't worked out a patch. If it's in PS4 mode and just controller charging, it won't. I say this as a warning to any potential buyer down the road. I don't know if Sony can fix it 100% given the layers of complexity going into what might be causing the problem. Plus I find it best to update when I'm present, and before I start playing, like just before dinner is ready or something, so I can return and it's done. The feedback system of the Dualsense is great. I love the sensation, the pressure accuracy, the small nuggets like tiny shaking for small bumps, things like that. It's a really fun way to play and feel the game that takes it to another level. Oh, the improved PS button functionality is a NICE touch. I like the intuitive nature of the new menu that pops up on the bottom. It's very easy to use and understand. I'm surprised how quickly I adapted to it. I thought the PS4 had it done mostly right (PSP was probably the best up to now), but the PS5 is the best system interface yet. Aside from that, the quality of how it plays PS4 games is a huge bonus. Just note that running them from an SSD external is faster than running them off the on-board. Not sure on an NVME expansion, but unfortunately for the PS5, this is a must. The 650GB will be eaten up very soon, especially as PS5 games expand in total size. So a 2 TB+ NVME will be necessary for PS5 owners fairly shortly, as that 650 should have at least 50GB open always for saves and potential issues with bad sectors down the line.

One of the best consoles I’ve ever used controller feels really nice and gameplay is smooth

Casually walked into my local Best Buy and found this in stock. A wonderful piece of technology! Really enjoying the UI; it is clean and simple. Horizon Forbidden West probably has the best graphics I have ever seen. Loving the Dual Sense controller and is especially satisfying when pulling a weapon such as an in-game bow and arrow. Looking forward to spending more time gaming in the next few weeks. One negative with the console is its rather large size (much bigger than Xbox Series X) and might be difficult to fit in some entertainment centers.

Very fun gaming system with beautiful graphics. They just need to release more games for it. Controllers are unbelievable

Going from a PS4 to this is an incredible difference, runs smoother and faster, if you are an avid gamer then this is a great purchase.

Where do I start, this console blew me away from the minute I turned it on, and the design is striking and what I truly love about the controllers is the fact that they have great grip, not to mention battery life. All in all this is console is a technological marvel, and you won’t be disappointed if you were to consider buying it.

I'm not a gamer but I bought it because my future games were going to be release only for ps5. It does a good upscaling and allows you to transfer all your ps4 to ps5. My only complain is that now days the games have many Gbs and I had to buy a $167 memory stick

Finally got my hand on a ps5. Great so far. Gameplay much better. Load times quick. Also picture quality is great so long as you have a good tv or monitor for it. Only thing I would recommend if you play a lot is to get an additional m.2 drive to expand the storage. Make sure it has a heat sink with the m.2. Quick google search will show compatible m.2 drives.

After searching for a very long time i came across this randomly at Best Buy. Right place right time. Keep checking. It works. Great console. I believe the controler and console itself are some of the best gsming tech I have used. I am Xbox myself. This was for my oldest son. After playing with him on the console it is a great machine. The only thing that keeps me Xbox is the power/memory. Meaning when the power is disconnected anyway other then the power button the memory has to be checked and at times not recoverable. The PS4 had the same issue. Xbox does not. Other then that the PS5 is a step above the Xbox X with the controler and the new hone screen interface for the PS5. Definetly buy if you get the chance. Dont pass it up.

Voucher for the game has 12 digit code to redeem on playstation store, the game is almost 90GB big and can take a long time to download. I recommend using ethernet instead of wifi for consistent internet connection speed. This bundle has console with model year 2021 while God of War bundle has 2022 model year console. Slightly difference in weight and running temperature, the newest one runs a little cooler.

The PS5 console is amazing. Graphics are beautiful, games load FAST, and the controller is the best I have ever used. The included game, Horizon: Forbidden West, is a gorgeous example of what the PS5 can do. The original game was already amazing, but this sequel manages to improve on it in every way!
