PS5 is well worth the upgrade

This is a great upgrade over the PS4 especially if you have a good TV. It is fast and does a decent job of upgrading PS4 Games. Not a lot of PS5 games out that I like that are specifically made for the PS5. But this box is worth it even with only upscaling PS4 games. The sharpness and quality of the Video is exceptional and it has great cooling. Yep it is a little on the large size due to the cooling in the box so check out where you are going to place it. You can have it be horizontal or vertical. The Blueray player is 4K which is about time. The optional media remote works well but requires some getting used to. It would have been nice if it was lit and had better defined keys. The controller is more comfortable than the PS4 but I wish it had some additional buttons on the back and side bumpers. Battery life is not as good as I would like. The 800GB drive gets a big chunk taken up with the regular OS. I would suggest an fast external SSD to keep your PS4 games on. It is nice that they have an easy slot to put in a compatible SSD internally. Unfortunately this feature and a compatible drives list won’t be released until the Summer of 2021.

It’s next gen what’s not to like! I’ve had the console for about a month now and I love it. I don’t mind the new Main menu and I’ve gotten completely used to it now, the controller is awesome, the haptic feedback is cool but are just a little gimmicky IMO, but I’ll wait for developers to change my mind on that! Honestly it’s a must buy, but don’t stress about not having one right now, there are only a hand few of games truly taking advantage of what next gen has to offer!

As a gamer, I'm very impressed with the PS5. It's a powerful console that offers a truly next-generation gaming experience. Here are some of the things I like about it: Fast loading times: The PS5's SSD loads games and apps incredibly quickly. This means you can spend less time waiting and more time playing. Haptic feedback: The DualSense controller's haptic feedback makes games feel more immersive. You can feel the vibration of a car engine in your hands or the resistance of a bowstring as you draw it back. Adaptive triggers: The DualSense controller's adaptive triggers add another layer of immersion to games. For example, you can feel the tension of a bowstring as you draw it back or the resistance of a car's brakes as you come to a stop. 3D audio: The PS5's Tempest 3D AudioTech creates a more immersive soundscape. This means you can hear sounds coming from all around you, which can make games feel more realistic. Great library of games: The PS5 has a great library of games, including Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Demon's Souls.

Excellent console, this one is better than the new slim generation. I also want to add a complaint to BestBuy for taking away my points that I had stored in the points bank. They removed them when they made the change from storing points to only customers with credit cards, I contacted support and they told me they would return them to me, but this never happened and in the end they just said they couldn't return them to me. I don't know if this was because I am a foreign customer (Mexican) I find the treatment ridiculous when I have spent more than 20,000 dollars on their website. But well, I guess I will start looking for alternatives.

Next gen is here! I have been a primary PC gamer for almost 10 years, but still dabble in playstation for the exclusives. The good: -Graphics are great and I have not seen any drops in FPS -UI is AMAZING. Very smooth and easy to figure out and use -The Duelsense controller is pretty cool, can't wait for developers to really take advantage of it. -Built in 4k BluRay player is a huge plus. I'm a big movie guy so having it built in is really nice. The bad (only three and they are just nitpicks) -The size. This thing is an ABSOLUTE UNIT. It takes up basically an entire one of my cabinets in my entertainment center. -It can occasionally get pretty loud when playing games that are on a disk and or when watching 4k Blurays. -The fact that this thing is basically impossible to get. I got so incredibly lucky to get it and I'm glad I did, but I feel for all of you that haven't gotten yours yet. In conclusion, its a fantastic console and it truly feels like next-gen. The previous generation and its upgraded versions just didn't quite feel like a true leap forward. The only reason I ever had a PS4 was because I wanted the exclusives.

Overall, this is a great next-gen system. Well worth the wait to get one at retail. Pros: -Great graphics -Games load fast -Quiet -Controller is surprisingly awesome Cons: -Very large console -A lot of heat generated -Hard to get (at the moment) -825GB of hard drive space (of which ~ 667 GB is available) will fill quickly.

Got lucky to snag one of these at launch and I am extremely happy with the load speed improvements afforded by the SSD. The graphics are amazing but not obviously greater than the PS4 Pro. The haptic feedback on the controller is great as well. Definitely a bit on the big side for a console but happy with the performance thus far.

This console is pretty amazing. The capabilities displayed right off the bat with the game installed on the console will impress. The UI takes some getting used to but it is effective. It doesn't have full backwards compatibility (although it does play just about every PS4 game) or have the quick return to other open games like the Xbox Series X, but the controller makes up for the lack of features. The controller has to be used to be believed. It is truly next gen. The triggers actually provide tension and resistance, while the haptic feedback makes you feel the different surfaces. Although I believe the Series X will eventually have the better looking multiplatform games being the more powerful console, there's little doubt that PS5 will end up with the better exclusives. Overall, it's hard to say which new system is better at the moment, but if you want a new experience, PS5 is the way to go. I will say I'm not a fan of the aesthetics of the console itself though. They messed that one up. It's far too large and doesn't sit on its side well at all. Even with the stand, it wobbles. It is definitely meant to stand vertically.

One of Sony’s best creations yet...

The PlayStation 5 feels like a next-generation system. It’s fast, sleek, the new user interface is a simple and effective evolution, and the new dual sense controller steals the show. Honestly, the controller feels like something Nintendo might have developed because of how intuitive it is. You will feel games in a way you never thought possible, and the possibilities for this type of technology are extremely exciting. It also has some great exclusives out of the gate. I think there is something for everyone here with the launch lineup. Miles Morales is a fantastic Spidey action adventure, Demon’s Souls is an unforgiving, but extremely rewarding RPG, Godfall is a fairly forgettable looter slasher, Sackboy is a great platform adventure for the whole family, and even the free Astro game that comes with the console is a nostalgic blast down memory lane that showcases the power of the controller. Now for the bad. As others have mentioned, the storage is absolutely a problem. You literally have about 667 GB out of the box when you boot the PS5 up. That’s just not going to hold enough games and apps. I had the console full within the first week of owning it, and I only had 7 games installed! You also have to make sure that both the PS4 and PS5 versions of games are not installed on your storage, I see this being an unknown issue for some users early on as they are utilizing backwards compatibility. I had to clear space for Cyberpunk 2077 because it takes up over 100 GB! The SSD certainly is a thing of beauty, the speeds you get from it are absolutely insane after 7 years of watching slow progress bars on the PS4. It’s a shame we just don’t have more of it right now. Also, the system itself is big, hulking, and awkward to put pretty much anywhere. It’s sitting dead center in the middle of my entertainment center, and it’s not subtle in any way. The design is quite slick and I believe it looks a lot better up close. I appreciate the boldness of it, I just wish it was a bit more manageable to store in an entertainment center. To wrap this up, I know a lot of parents and gamers are bummed that they can’t get their hands on a PS5 this holiday. I went through a lot of hurdles and failed to acquire one about a dozen times before I got lucky. With that said, they will be more easily obtainable soon, and who knows, if you can hold out a bit they may address some of the storage issues sooner than later. Also, some of the really big heavy hitter exclusives like God of War Ragnarok and the new Horizon Zero Dawn aren’t out until mid to late 2021, so there is plenty to look forward to if you aren’t able to grab a console right away.

Honestly, I’m having mixed feelings on this console so far. It’s quiet, it’s fast and the controller really wowed me with the built in mic and the haptic feedback. The 20 titles in the “PS Collection” that came for free with the PSplus membership is really nice, especially for those like me who traded in the majority of their PS4 things. Unfortunately, the graphics so far haven’t impressed me too much. Playing on the same 4K 60hz tv my PS4 slim was on and I really cannot tell the difference. Maybe getting a new display and hitting 120fps would make a noticeable difference, but I’m not going to spend the money to find out any time soon. The 650ish GBs worth of usable space on the SSD quickly vanished after installing 4 Ps5 titles and the PS4 copy of CyberPunk. Had to delete a few demos to make room. I understand Sony plans on offering more storage options in the future, but as of right now space is already an issue with only 5 disc games. This console is also HUGE. It makes my Xbox series S look like a model toy. The design of the console also isn’t very visually appealing.

The PS5 is hands-down the best console out there in terms of hardware and performance. I wish it had a service comparable to Gamepass on XB, but that being said I have both and.... I definitely spend more time on the PS5. Being a PC gaming enthusiast, I have finally been impressed with this geneeration's consoles. Specifically the PS5. The Gen 4 NVMe SSD is blazing fast, even cutting edge for PCs right now. Load times are an afterthought. The storage leaves something to be desired, specifically because if you really want to take advantage of next gen, they can only be installed on the internal SSD, and with 667 GB of usable space.... there's not a ton of room to keep a lot of games. THAT being said, I picked up a few external SSD drives on clearance, and they are crazy fast, much faster than the PS4 when used on the PS5.... but as it is external storage and lacking any Gen 4 NVMe interface, you can only install PS4 games on it.... but I have loads of those from current gen, so I'm pleased they pack a lot more punch (read: way faster loads/saves, etc) than before.

Amazing! This is such a better experience than the ps4, with the new dual sense controller. The haptic feedback adds a new feel to games, while the adaptive triggers add more immersion to games. Even if it wasn’t for the upgraded graphics and speed of the system the controller alone changes the experience altogether!

Console itself is quite large. Runs quietly. Included pack-in game is fun. Controller is innovative and likely the future. Uses same power cable as a Ps4. Controller lights and console lights match, which looks nice during rest mode. Performs as expected. Thin launch lineup but next gen potential already shows.

Ok machine, Series X is the better machine by far.

System is "Ok" The Series X is by far the better machine. It doesn't play as smoothly as the SX and the storage is even more of a pain in the rear. Not much different than PS4 Pro, other than being more fast. The design is futuristic yet very tacky at the same time. Not that that matters. But it really does look very tacky IMO. It's giant as well. The controller is awesome, I love the controller. Easy to set up. But If I were to do it all over again, I would have just purchased the Series X and called it a day and just kept playing my PS4 Pro. I would only recommend this product if you do not have a PS4 Pro. I am sure games will get better in the future and hopefully mid generation systems will not look as cheap as this system does.

I have been so excited about the PS5 when it was first revealed. I planned on having one day one but wasnt able to and as time went on just kind of decided to wait....then September 2021...10 months after lanch i got my chance at my local Best Buy and ive got to say....It was well worth the weight! This feels like a true next generation console eith blistering fast load times on everything ive played on it to the stunning VIVID visuals. The controller is probably the best part as its super comfortable and has the most amazing haptic feedback and what i woupd call smart rumble. I highly recommend getting yourself or your friend or family a PS5 they will not be disappointed! I would say theres tons of pros and the only real con is the storage. You basically get 667 gb of storage when you turn it on which does feel up quick now a days. You can however do some exterior hard drives to help with this. Again well worth the money over all.

The Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5) is the hottest item on the market this Holiday Season. Purchasing this item took some work on the Best Buy website during preorders. I remember preorders went out early at 6PM PST among retailers. I wasn’t able to purchase any but I waited until midnight and there it was on Best Buy. I added it to the cart and probably clicked the checkout button 100 times until I was able to confirm the purchase. The console is huge but the design is just awesome. It isn’t some huge box. I enjoy the ease of use with the system and it still feels like PlayStation. I just wish more exclusives were out at launch. The new DualSense controller is just awesome and it gives me a whole new feel of what happens in game. I honestly believe this is what makes the PlayStation stand out from the competition. I still plan to purchase a Xbox Series X because I try to enjoy all of the different games. Competition always creates great games in the gaming industry. Thanks Best Buy for giving us a chance at purchasing this console.
