Make room for this Next-Gen Console
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is VERY LARGE (tall/wide). The graphics are great and the system is very fast. The controller is fantastic and has built in speakers which is wild and the feedback on the controller is amazing as you can feel your character skating across ice, slogging through mud, etc.

Awesome so far
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have always purchased PlayStations so I am biased. I love it so far. Pros It’s really fast, 4K optical drive, ease of use, two different menus to separate media from gaming. The setup was really quick and easy. Loved the importing from PS4. Never used or knew there was an app but you can manage your PlayStation on the go with your app. Queue games, updates, and content to be downloaded straight from your phones PlayStation app on to your PlayStation. Cons It’s really large. I went with the on it’s side mount. The plate they give you doesn’t lock in so if you bump it or want to move it you have to make sure you drag both pieces or you’re going to make it off center. While this doesn’t cause too much issues, it’s annoying for aesthetics. The front port doesn’t work. This is the biggest bug. While I did see Sony address this, it’s still annoying. It won’t charge your controller at all. It will show it is but it’s not. Use the back port till it’s addressed.

PS5 Console
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very happy to secure one of these during the pandemic. I have no bad things to say about the console. I recommend 2 controllers so one is charging. I haven’t had any freezing or performance issues.

Amazing Upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not sure how a system like this gets less than 5 stars. It WAY outperforms the PS4. Sure, it was challenging at first to have a gaming system with such limited internal storage space, but that issue has since been fixed. The graphics on this system are amazing. The console loads games incredibly fast. I have not used the DVD/Blu-Ray/4K disc feature yet (this is something I never considered using my system for before until now), but I'm hoping to test the system's abilities here soon; I have zero doubt that it will work well. It took me a couple of months after the console's release date in November, 2020 to get my console, so I know that in November, 2021 I am fortunate to not have to stress out about getting a console. If you're still trying, keep at it. The PS5 is worth the effort and trouble.

Next Gen Gaming
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm getting used to the design. I decided to use mine upright as laying it horizontal would consume the entire top of the stand. The console feels solid and has a hefty that says quality. I like the new menu. It has taken some. Time to navigate due to old habits on the PS4. I've been experiencing issue with WiFi and games downloading. Plan to hook up ethernet to see if performance improves. The system is noticeably faster, load times for games are decreased and next-gen graphics are amazing. The controller is a definite upgrade to the PS4 controller. The added heft and taughter sticks feel like an upgrade.

Great console! Exceeded my expectations
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible performance, it is incredibly fast. The graphics and picture rendering is excellent. Its also a very silent unit, important for playing at night! Its a sad thing the low supply (or the high demand). Really hope everybody can enjoy it soon.

It’s worth the hype
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Firstly, I’ll start off with stating I’m an Xbox guy. I truly like this PS5. I’ve been playing Spider-Man: Miles Morales and it’s so sweet with the dual sense controller. The game is impressive with the ray tracing capabilities and how it really brings the game to life. The graphics and speed of the game loading is awesome and fast. From the continue at the start screen, you’re back in the game within like 5-10 seconds if that. Yes, the console is massive, but it’s definitely a nice addition to my gaming systems and I’m happy to see MS and Sony bringing awesome content to the table. Thankful I was able to get a console. Killercam1020 on Twitch is the reason I was able to snag one from Best Buy. Worth the hype and with all of the new games coming up, will be even more worth it. Was happy to be able to play Persona 5 Royal again!

I love it even though it's gigantic. BB pack bettr
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Package arrived a day late which is fine but the actual PS5 box was ripped up which turned my excitement into worry. Whoever packed it must have rage issues. Luckily the PS5 was fine. The ps5 is amazing. Everything you've read is true. Amazing graphics, super fast load times, and the controller feedback is awesome. If you like Sony games then it's a no brainer. But be warned that the It's huge! Just insanely huge. Measure your entertainment center to make sure this thing fits and also makes sure it has enough ventilation. I have doors on mine and I leave it open just to be safe when playing.

Awesome upgrade from the PS4.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got lucky and got one on day one pre-order. Picked it up on release day and hooked it up. I was impressed with build quality. It is BIG, but not so big it wont fit in my entertainment center sitting horizontal. The controller is amazing! The haptic feedback trigger are impressive, as is the new rumble mechanisms. The controller feels sturdy and has more heft than the DS4. So far the only game I have played is Demon Souls and that runs awesome. Fast load time, silky smooth game play. I also fired up Days Gone, and wow, they improved that game a lot! Load times are WAAAAAy faster, and the graphics are running in true 4k 60fps instead of checkerboard 4k 30fps. Makes it feel like a new game. The game that comes on it is a fun little platformer that shows off what the controller can do. Highly recommend the upgrade to the PS5 if you can get your hands on one. Things will only get better from here.

Good, but not worth freaking out over.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a PS5. It's big and heavy, but the controller is great and the ssd improvements are the real next gen leap. It's not worth paying extra for right now as the library is slim unless you really just want to play your existing games with faster load times.

So Far So Good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. I've had it for a little over a month and I quite like it. It's much more quiet than the playstation 4 while also performing like a decent PC. The solid state drive is quick as heck. The controller is innovative as heck. I recommend.

Great Console With A Weak Start!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pro: -Very fast due to SSD 4k UHD disc drive -Haptic feedback om controllers -Games like Spider-Man Miles Morales, and Spider-Man Remastered, look great with the options to run the game with Ray Tracing with a smooth 60 fps. Cons: -Too big of a console -UI is weird -PS4 games keep installing even though I installed the PS5 version. -Very few games that use the full potential of the console at the moment. Overall it is a great console, however, there is no need to rush out and get a PS5 from scalpers, etc, as there are no games that take full advantage of the hardware yet.

Lean, mean, gaming machine!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not sure what more I can say that hasn't been already said. First of all, I know this is tough to find right now. I hope these become more available sooner than later, so we can all enjoy the console, rather than having discussions on things like shortages and scalpers. The console itself looks amazing and design is cool. Yes, it is large, but that's because it's basically a gaming computer. My recommendation is to have it standing up. The games speak for themselves, and there are some big titles upcoming (God of War 2, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, Horizon 2, Etc.). The DualSense is the best controller ever. Play games like Astro's Playroom (comes free w/ console!!) to truly experience it. This very well could be the best Playstation console ever, and the sales numbers already are reflecting that. A must have for all gamers.

Worth the wait
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was definitely worth the weeks of monitoring sites to get this. The difference in graphics between ps4 and ps5 isn't quite as noticeable as the one from ps3 to ps4, but the more you look, the more you see. So far Spiderman: Miles Morales is the only actual ps5 game I've played, but it looks amazing. Load times are nonexistent, combat looks more theatrical than ever, the sound is amazing, and the lighting makes everything stunning to look at. It's also cool to see how far out the ps5 is capable of loading things. I was able to see cars driving all the way down the street. Since there aren't many formal ps5 games right now, storage isn't too much of an issue (ps4 games can be accessed with the external drive you used for ps4), but as more ps5 games come out, sony will definitely need an update to use external drives for actual ps5 games.

Hits all the right spots!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Backwards compatible ✅ Blazing performance ✅ Beautiful graphics ✅ Ergonomic controller ✅ I love the new PS5, no complaints so far. GTA online and story mode load in mere seconds compared to the PS4 and PS4 Pro. Also tested Anthem, Man Eater, and tonne of other games, loads so fast it made the games fun again lol. PS5 specific games are amazing in graphic quality and performance. Still learning to navigate the system, so some things seem slow until the shortcuts are learned. (Switching between chatting, playing, broadcasting, video editing, etc.) The ability to capture game video, edit it immediately and share it on PSN is a huge bonus! The vid length for message sharing is small, but so sweet. Broadcasting to youtube or (twitch - not used) is simple and easy. By far the best console I've ever played. Almost comparable to PC, almost.
