PS5 good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This system is pretty big. It is generally really quiet and doesn’t heat up all that much. The UI runs fast but can be a little confusing not user friendly at first, especially if you are used to the PS4’s UI. So far, most PS4 games I ran through it have played fine since this system is backwards compatible. The new controller fits well in the hand and the new haptic stuff seems to be response, but that depends on the game. I have run into glitches here and there using the system or playing games, but fortunately nothing game breaking. Overall, really happy with it.

Amazing for Next-Gen. Has some quirks.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PS5 is amazing and is the closest thing on a console to PC gaming. The Dualsense controller is extremely immersive and is probably the #2 major update to the system. Next-Gen SSD loading is no joke, download speeds even over ethernet are at least double what they were from ps4. System runs fast an quiet Things to note (probably launch day glitches/bugs): - I have a LG B8 and Onkyo TX-NR676. The PS5 has handshake issues sometimes with the receiver where HDR will cut out for a second and come right back. Sometimes it happens constantly, sometimes not at all. Best fix is shut everything down and turn it all on and hope the handshake sticks. Probably fixed with future firmware. I have upgraded all my cables to HDMI 2.1 even though my hardware only supports 2.0 so it isn't the cables, and tried different HDMI ports for troubleshooting. Only thing to make it go away completely is set 4k Transfer Rate to -2 which shouldn't be necessary. The system should be able to determine how much data to send out without sending my receiver into the fritz. - UI needs work. Too many button presses to have to close games or shut down system. Inability to sort and place things into folders. The seemless search feature is good though. - Storage space is small but still holds more games than I expected. - The lack of expandable storage at launch is an oversight - The lack of confirmation and or updates from Sony about bugs and fixes is unacceptable - The lack of outlets to report issues to Sony is unacceptable. This is a launch day unit, you should want to know what issues people are having. Sorry I'm not gonna sit on the phone for an hour and a half on hold to report a bug, make reporting thru the system easier. - User options are getting better. The option to choose performance or graphics oriented is great (always performance). Having 120 fps in COD cold war made my kdr to go up 15 points. And the ability to change the 4k transfer rate in the event of hardware incompatibility is nice. (Cliff notes: 4k Transfer rate changes the color profile being sent to the TV. Automatic will be full RGB if hdmi 2.1 or yuv 422 12 bit if hdmi 2.0. -1 is yuv 422, and -2 is yuv 420. All this means is less data required to be sent over the cable but also less colors) Overall: Coming from a launch day PS4 I'm blown away with this system. Fortunately I don't have major launch day bugs but the HDR handshake issue can be infuriating when it doesn't go away.

Best thing since sliced bread
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This baby is the next step in PlayStations history. It’s been great for me and it should for you too. Just recommend installing an internal SSD. The space is limited otherwise.

PS5
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent, super fast, beautiful graphics, load screen what's a load screen? The controller feels better an fits better in my hand than the PS4. The haptic feedback is incredible, really hope game developers take advantage of the technology.

The PS5 is a good next generation console, but.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PS5 is a good next generation console, but it has some flaws. The loading times are almost not existence and the graphics are very good. The controller is very advanced with adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. The negatives are that the usable storage of the console is only 667 GB and that is ridiculous by today standards, there is currently no way possible to install and play PS5 games from an external storage and the internal slot to extend the storage is disabled, the disc drive is noisy, and the games are $70.00.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The graphics are great and the load times are beyond shortened. The controller looks great and feels great. Haptic feedback is super cool and the adaptive triggers are great too. The console looks very sleek though it is quite large.

PS5 - The King of modern Consoles
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PS5 lives up to the hype! The graphics are unbelievable, the load times are nearly non-existent. Considering that the Xbox X doesn't have many unique titles exclusive to Xbox anymore, spend your hard-earned cash on this instead.

Sony's 5th does not disappoint.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony's latest console iteration is filled with potential — some of it already realized, some a promise of what's to come. Experiencing the haptic feedback triggers adds a tactile element that feels essential. Playing Ps4 titles without haptic feedback feels like something is missing now. The graphics are outstanding and will only get better. The UI is improved, and will continue to be refined. If I had a minor criticism, it's that the console itself is gigantic. Not an issue for me, but could be for people with limited space. I recommend Demon's Souls and Spider Man Miles Morales as titles to play at launch. It's also improves on some of the best ps4 had to offer. Try the Last of Us Part 2, Ghosts of Tsushima, God of War, Death Stranding, and Cyberpunk 2077 when it comes out in early December.

Great
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great console, great controller, great pack in game—the only thing not to love is the price. In hindsight I wish I would have bought the no disc version but overall a great console I continue to be happy with.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Powerhouse system which performs very well when multi tasking. No loud fan noise even when working overtime. Load times are almost non existent. Graphics are amazing. Console is quite large however.

Amazing when it doesn't crash
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Still shocked I was able to pick one up on launch day after that bungled pre-order shamble back in September and all the scalpers who are ruining the holidays for a lot of parents and kids alike. Anyway, the set-up was pretty messy, there are lots of little tips they don't explain to you, especially when setting up a data transfer from your old Ps4. They recommend using a LAN cable but this causes issues with the transfer, use Wi-fi. Then for some reason, getting the console to not crash every day is a miracle, it happens at least once daily and seems to be tied to using an external HDD. My advice, unless you are actively playing PS4 games off of one, leave it unplugged until you need it; it just causes problems so leave it out until Sony patches this issue. Transferring games from HDD to the SSD, or vice-versa takes forever for some reason, have no idea why. Now, on to the good stuff, the games! They look amazing on next-gen, and the loading times are pretty quick for native ps5 titles. Even in backwards compatibility with ps4 titles that haven't been patched, the load times are noticeably quicker and if the game featured an unlocked frame-rate or dynamic resolution, the ps5 will max these bounds out to deliver a much better experience. Spider-man Miles Morales is probably the best tech demo out there for the system, as it allows you to have native 4k with ray-traced reflections (for a console, this is pretty impressive to see in action) or choose a performance mode that runs at near 4k with slightly cut down fidelity (you won't notice in action) and 60fps. The 2018 spiderman also gets a remaster that gives it many of the same features and is super fun to play in next gen. A lot of games are taking this route of offering a choice between high frame rate or high fidelity with 4k and it is refreshing to see devs give their customers the choice between the two. All-in all, having owned every iteration of the playstation since the OG, this was the most impressive launch line-up and experience I can remember having. Aside from the technical issues (of which there are plenty) I still find myself extremely impressed on what Sony delivered for $500. The value in that price-tag is pretty undeniable and it is an amazing experience!

Mind Blowing
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The PS5 is a powerful and well-designed console that offers a compelling next-gen gaming experience. Its library of exclusive games continues to be a showcase for the PS5’s marvelous DualSense controller, spatial 3D audio tech, and super-fast SSD, and it’s the reason why so many gamers will covet Sony’s new PlayStation console. It might be too big for some setups, though, and a couple of issues hold it back from being a five-star product. However, it's a welcome upgrade over the PS4 and an exciting portal to next-gen gameplay.

Fast and convenient
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a fan of Playstation since the release of the PS1 in the mid-90's, so I may be a bit biased, but I am absolutely in love with the PS5. I was somehow able to purchase one in Mid-January. So far I've played through Astro's Playroom, some of Demon's Souls, and a ton of Ghost of Tsushima with the 60 FPS patch. All have been incredibly FAST on the new system, which I feel is the PS5's biggest drawing point. I have very little time to work due to my job and social life, but being able to instantaneously load into games on the PS5 makes me so much more inclined to play games when I get home from a long day on the clock. I have picked up Miles Morales, but haven't played it yet so I can't comment on it, however, Demons Souls is incredibly beautiful on the system!

Great Console, Hard to get
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got the PS5 to replace my PS4. Absolutely love it. The Graphics are amazing and the new controller is pretty cool. It takes a bit to get used to. The one thing that made this console a 4/5 is that the size is A LOT larger than the PS4. It was hard to find a place to put it because of how massive it is. Tip: The Digital Version of the PS5 is much more in demand, so If you have the extra money and don't have that much patience, I would try to get the Disk version as it is a little bit easier!

Ps5 for the win
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You already know greatness awaits!!! Sike nah, the loading times are fantastic, graphics are greatly improved with higher textures, fidelity, ray tracing and resolution. As of now only a handful of games are available through first party but that should be better by year end. Haptic feedback, adaptive triggers and external speakers are great on the controller. Even my $25 headphones sound great on the ps5 through the software enhanced tempest engine. I’ve enjoyed Astro bot, Cold War and Spider-Man , but the ps plus collection has been great so far. Only gripe is the storage (effective 645 GB for me). An ssd or HDD is greatly recommended. Or you can you always wait until this summer for Sony’s recommended solutions in ssds. Happy hunting.
