PS5
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a generation of figuratively towering above its rivals with the monstrously successful PlayStation 4, one thing is certain: Sony’s next-generation contender will also loom large over its peers... literally. This thing is massive. However, what the PlayStation 5 lacks in subtlety it more than makes up for in potential, thanks in part to its amazingly fast SSD but mostly to its truly remarkable new controller, the DualSense.

Plays PS 4 collection flawlessly.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t have a 4k tv but graphics are still amazing. Extremely satisfied with the support for PlayStation 4 games. I don’t have to get rid of my collection and in some cases games seem to load quicker and look great. If upgrading from a PS4 Pro you may not see improvements in your PS4 games visually but defiantly if upgrading from a standard PS4. Included Astro game is a must, it’s a fun game that teaches you how the new Dual Sense controller works!

Definitely worth it if you can find one
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very fortunate to get one during an online scramblefest of click monkey nonsense. I’ll go through what I like: Controller is fantastic, I’m very glad they designed something a bit more meaty in the hands like an Xbox controller. Feels much better than a DualShock 4. Whomever complains about it being cumbersome or tiring is really exaggerating. It’s a 1 pound controller guys and gals. UI is very simplistic in comparison to the PS4 UI. I just feel like it’s very well thought out in terms of convenience. Easy to get where you’re going. Again it’s simple, but efficient. I spent a good hour or more maybe just walking through and observing/trying a lot of features. The broadcasting one is one of the best in terms of efficiency. Easily accessible and just about fool proof to setup. System overall is pretty quiet. The only thing I hear really is the occasional disk spin up. The only way you’re going to hear that to a point where it’s loud is if it’s 2 feet in front of you on a desk or something. I think the people who complain about HOW LOUD THE DISK DRIVE OH EM GEE are grasping at straws trying to find something wrong. It’s not bad and if you’re wearing a head set for instance then who cares. Games load fast... I mean do I need to say more? Quick resume is pretty nice this generation. The only con I would say is that the thing is gigantic for what it is. And at this point in ownership that’s literally looking and making something wrong. I don’t want to look like a fan boy. Anyway, really great job on this generation and we’re in the infancy. The hardware is very impressive. It won’t replace your gaming rig unless it’s a pretty lackluster setup, but dang do I love this thing.

One the best things to happen in 2020
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love how unique the design of the PS5 is, it's definitely a statement piece. Games load fast and the graphics look outstanding. I don't yet see a huge enough difference in graphics compared the PS4 Pro, but I know it will get better as more games come out and utilize the full power of the PS5. Oh, and the controller is amazing! I'm still in awe how the pulled that off. Backwards compatibility with PS4 games is a huge plus, definitely worth the upgrade.

Such a cool console
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's much bigger than the pro, which limited where I could put it, but it looks so cool. It's also very quiet, except for when certain game discs are in, but even then it's only loud for 30 seconds. The only issue I have with the interface is that we can't use our PS4 themes, but I'm sure we'll have some customization options. I LOVE the haptic feedback from the controller and I'm excited for future games. Very easy to set up and transfer data, I love it.

What an incredible system
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very impressed with the quality of this console. It is very powerful and runs games beautifully. I can't wait to continue play with it for many years to come. I was surprised by the size of it and have to lay it down horizontally but it is still very nice to look at and play. You can really tell that they out a lot of thought into making this console and its accessories. Overall I am very satisfied and hope that everyone will be able to get one soon.

It’s a PS5 alright!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The controller alone makes it worth the upgrade. While I do wish there were more next-gen titles available, Sony did an excellent job making sure there was enough low-cost/ free content via PSN to hold everyone over. The system itself IS SO MUCH QUIETER than the PS4 it’s laughable. The HDMI 2.1 is one feature I’m looking forward to (need to find a compatible display). Overall, another great system from Sony here - just buy it and don’t look back.

Great console, good game titles!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome console, honestly worth the whole waiting and hunting for the ps5 back in 2021. Albeit I don’t have much time to game but when I do it’s a blast the quality of some these games titles are shocking compared to past gen. Enjoyed death stranding and Spider-Man so far and some war zone here and there never hurts. Would recommend as a gift for the kids or maybe for yourself lol

Great upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from PS4 to PS5 is definitely a upgrade. Load times are faster. Expandable storage is lacking but I'm hoping in future firmware upgrades like Sony promised will resolve this issue. For now get a USB-C expandable HD for PS4 games only. The controller is definitely next gen...I'm hoping in the future more game adapt to this controllers capabilities. All on all no regrets. Patiently waiting for more folks to get on PS5.

PS5 - despite a few minor nitpicks, worth it!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having luckily acquired my PS5 back on Jan 22nd, and having been out of the current console adopters since the PS2, I can say that the PS5 has been a blast to have. Unexpectedly, I've been getting a ton of enjoyment out of catching up on missed out blockbuster titles via the Playstation Store and Playstation Plus (the subscription service needed to play online games, but also features access to some free games). With this in mind, I'm feeling the limitations of precious storage space the PS5 allows. It's nice to be able to delete a game and be able to re-download it without losing your saved progress, but investing in extra storage space has made this feel less of a hassle (I'm awaiting a Samsung T7 1 TB SSD from Best Buy for pickup). Other than the rather limiting storage space, the only other annoying aspects I've found with the console is the unexpectedly huge size of the console (toting this to a friend's house requires a duffle bag lol) and the sorta loose fitting of the PS5 stand when using the console in horizontal position. The stand will stay put and allow the console to come undone from it if you move the PS5 to reposition it for whatever reason. Just remember to pick up the console, and don't slide it and this won't be an issue. Beyond those small nitpicks, I'm incredibly satisfied with the PS5. While I've been out if the current-adopter club for a while, I've been a day-one adopter of gaming consoles since the original Playstation, and a long time gamer since the Atari 2600 days. For me, the PS5 has been worth the hard effort of obtaining the console.

ALMOST NO LOADING TIMES!!! LOVE MY PS5!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The next Revolution in gaming is here! Was lucky to get one in the pre-order and have enjoyed every minute of playtime! The haptic feedback feels like there's a tiny robot inside the controller that knows exactly how to make it feel like a thousand different sensations! The SSD is incredibly fast! With Miles Morales you can literally go from pressing start game on the home page to playing it in 10 seconds! MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A 4K TV FOLKS!

So lucky to get one! Extremely pleased!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not much more to say beyond what has already been said about this console. Amazingly speedy, very quiet, and beautiful graphical output make for a worthwhile upgrade from last gen consoles. The clincher though is the Dual Sense gamepad, though it might be a few months before we see games utilize its revolutionary features in a meaningful way. I feel very lucky that I managed to get one when I did. Don't regret whatsoever.

ps5
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was quite difficult to pre-order the PS5, but I truly lucked out because even with all the restocks certain retailers have had... it is still unbelievably hard to place the order. I hope anyone that still wants one gets one soon because it really is unfair that the gamers aren't able to land one whilst scalpers have thousands. The PS5 has run beautifully and so intelligently from what I've experienced. The set up was of course easy and fast. The new UI is smooth and I definitely like it more than the old one on the PS4. The Dualsense Controller is AMAZING. It is probably the next best thing (only second to the console itself) with the way it works. It's not as slippery like the Dualshock and feels great in hand. Even after hours of gaming, I did not feel any fatigue in my hands. The battery life is probably similar to its predecessor. Overall, the console runs very smoothly and I have not experienced any sort of loudness with it. I do recommend when playing games, to choose performance over the resolution. You will absolutely get a higher FPS and I think it just runs a lot better that way. Would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to experience next gen even though we've just merely begun to play those games.

Get one if you get the chance!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Put this as visible as possible in my living room. Looks amazing and sleek! Performs very fast and so far flawless. Easy to setup and Cable is fairly long. Definitely recommend separate charger base for controller. Ssd could be bigger but glad they included an option to put one in. Best Buy was the only place I could actually get one without frustrations of system glitch.

2021 MUST HAVE
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To me this is the biggest generational jump ever. I’ve been around for all of them. All of them are pretty significant when you look back at them but this one is the only one that gets backwards compatibility down in a way where most will work. The controller was the biggest change in a while (the PS4 DualShock 4 was essentially a DualShock 3 with a touch pad). The performance upgrade proportionally and cumulatively is the largest jump ever. In fact this is the closest the console community has ever been to PC performance while also maintaining a competitive advantage (unique and award winning exclusives that out perform triple A cross-platform titles). Honestly the ps5 made me sell my series x two days after I got it (it was easier to get the series X at first but I got lucky and got a ps5 bundle from BB). This is the best generational upgrade I have ever dealt with (not sure if those of you remember how weird the original PS3s could be depending on your TV and my PS4 had a hdmi reading problem that sorted out after a system update). Seriously cannot recommend the ps5 enough. Especially if you have PS4 or Xbox one, pro and X you might can wait for the ps5 to be more available, but it’s still worth the upgrade by a lot. People are treating it like it’s $1000. Like my phone cost double the amount of a ps5 disk and is nowhere near as impressive (Ik it’s “apple”s to oranges but from a hardware standpoint the PS5 and Series X price is pretty amazing). Best purchase of 2021 goes to the ps5, just kind of upsets me because it seems like nothing will top it and the year just started.

Big Improvements
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A huge improvement over the PS4, with limited backwards compatibility and a much more clean and fast UX (mostly thanks to the SSD speeds) being steps in the right direction. I would have liked to see more strides to ensuring past generations are not left in the dust (referring to PS1-PS3) besides just cloud gaming however for now simply being able to play both PS4 and PS5 games will do.
