Very impressive console. I was skeptical at first as I didn’t feel that this next gen of consoles was going to be distinctively better than the last gen, but the ps5 has changed my mind for many reasons. The quick load times, silent fans, and new duel sense controllers are games changing. Very pleased with my ps5. Have yet to have any issues with it. *knocks on wood*. Highly recommend.

Great system with a load of great features minus the whole PS link headphone garbage. 800 GB is way too small though for storage when a game is often 100+GB and it makes no difference if you have physical disc or not.

Sony has done it again with the PS5, Creating another great addition to the PlayStation family with its amazing graphics and fast SSD while the dual seance controller is a league of its own with a responsive haptic feedback and amazing trigger that corresponds to the game your playing. PlayStation has a bright future ahead of itself and I can’t wait to jump into those worlds

The PS5 has been fantastic. Between the outstanding graphics and extremely fast load times, I have been impressed. The console looks great and the controllers are nice. It has been easy to download games from the PlayStation online store. My son has been playing Spider-Man and Uncharted. The sound and detail are awesome.

what can I say, owned these since the PS2 and this one is the best of the bunch! 4k resolution at 120 Hz for incredible, immersive gaming experience is tough to beat on the big screen. Can't wait for my favorite franchises to show up on this console (Last of Us, Resident Evil, etc.). looks larger than the Series X, but that's mostly due to slimmer casing. hope many of you still looking for this can eventually purchase one. Best Buy is your best chance as long as you are there at the right time (anti-bot measures, queue system). I scored mine at 5am PST 11/22!

Amazing system, super awesome performance, and an amazing controller. I’ve had the console for about 2 months now, and it’s my favorite PlayStation yet! I’ll get my complaints out of the way first: Limited SSD storage -667 gb usable means get an external to install your games! Archaic UI- So many settings are buried in weird menus, and even though I’m used to the switch of long press on the ps button, the quick switcher takes too many steps. Turning off the console, adjusting volume, creating a party are buried beneath so many taps and sub menus it’s infuriating. Limited IO- The ssd expansion is still locked for now, expected support is summer 2021 PROS: Controller- even if the game doesn’t take advantage the vibration and feel of the new controller is awesome! Mic is passable but is helpful for quick chats. Make sure to turn on mute on login! Performance- games run great. On ps4 games the performance boosts in load times and frame rates are noticeable! A lot of games do have patches by now but very few are capped at 30. However, it is extra work for developers. Thermals- except for the disc spinning every now and then, the console is almost silent during even heavy gaming! Overall, I love this console and while the design is not my favorite, the performance and games alone are worth it!

Great console for those gamers who need the extra power to play these new games! Playstation exclusive games are amazing making this console a great choice over the xbox. The dual sense controller adds insane immersion allowing you to feel the different materials as well as having tension in the triggers.

This is what everyone wants right now! I was lucky enough to get one during the start of black Friday week. The hype is real! The load times are amazing and the graphics are a huge upgrade from the PS4. The controller is super awesome making this a next gen console it really responds to the games and is a huge upgrade from the PS4 Dualshock controller. Get one if you can!

Great system. Bigger then expected. The dual sense controller is very intuitive. Astro play room is cool game to come pre loaded on the PS5. Graphics, frame rates and load times are so much better and faster. Played Cyberpunk on a ps4 and now play it on a ps5, and there is a notable difference. Load times are much faster and graphics and frame rates are smoother.

It's been several months since I purchased my PS5 at launch. I wanted to wait before writing a review so that I could be fair. It's May 2021 and I can say that I don't regret this purchase! The load times are incredibly fast because of the PS5 SSD (solid-state drive). When you play Spider-Man remastered and see how there are no loading screens compared to the PS4 version, it's amazing. The DualSense controller is something that I thought was going to be a 'gimmick' and be forgotten about months later. Now, I cannot believe this kind of controller feedback didn't come sooner. To be fair, not all games utilize it equally but for games like Returnal or Astros Play Room, you're going to be impressed! I own a Xbox as well so I cannot claim that multiplatform games run better on one system or the other. I purchased the PS5 because I knew that they have some great exclusives. Demon's Souls, Returnal and the upcoming Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart are games that I have played or will be playing soon. There is so much about this system that I love. Though, I do wish they offered a variety of colors for the system. I feel fortunate to have been able to get a PS5 at launch and to be able to enjoy great games and features.

Oh how I missed PlayStation....I had a PS4 went to Xbox OneX and now PS5....PlayStation is a much easier system to navigate through the menus, overall very fast performance, games look amazing and the PS5 controller is on a whole new level than any other controller with all the cool vibrations and haptic feedback....I love my PS5 and will NEVER go back to Xbox.

Excellent console. Very fast and my old PS4 games look great. The controller feels good and the duel sense doesn't annoy me like I thought it would. It's much larger then the PS4 so it takes up a lot of space and it's design is a little weird and limiting but that's just being picky. Transfer from the PS4 to the 5 took less then 10 minute with an ethernet cable.

I was lucky to get a day one launch with the pre-order. I love the new features in this system, however expect some bigs, some issues, and possible a brick depending on how they system works. I would still recommend the console due to the new controller, almost instant load times. Cons is space is limited with no way to store ps5 games on external hard drive as of yet.

Still waiting for that AAA title but with SSD the load times on even PS4 games are ridiculously fast. The DualSense controller feels different in your hands but you get used to it quickly. Also there is a future update to unlock a second internal storage port so the limited SSD storage space hopefully won’t be a long term problem. 14/10 would recommend!

Sleek design with a lot of processing power. Games has never looked so good on a big tv. Alot of exclusive games. Interface is easy to navigate. A decent amount of storage and can be upgraded to more if choose too. I would since game files are huge these days. Controller is comfortable to use. Haptic feedback is amazing.

Have only had limited time but picture quality is excellent and the machine is very quiet. A couple of issues. This thing is huge. My PS4 sat in front of my television very discretely, slender enough not to overlap the screen. Not so with the PS5. It sits very tall, even horizontally, covering a portion of the lower screen. I don’t really have a place to set it vertically, so I’m stuck with this configuration. it’s frustrating to know that in a year or so, Sony’s going to come out with a PS5 Slim. With the technology we have, not sure what this has to be so huge. Also, while the controller looks and feels nice, it curves off on each end to the handheld part into a sharp curve. Those little protrusions hit me on my pinky fingers, feeling like something is a little off when I’m holding. I also thought load times would be greatly reduced, but still felt like it took forever for the first game I put in to load. Finally, not crazy about the menu system. A little all over the place. May just take some getting used to, but feels a little scattershot.

The PS5 - slick fast and worth a purchase if you can get your hands on one (don't buy from a scalper)! This is a beast of the console and worth the upgrade from a PS4 if you are on the fence. The new controller is a joy, and the haptic feedback seems like it is more than just a gimmick. I have both a Series X and PS5, and I don't really think you can really go wrong with either one. I only gave it 4 stars for now for a few reasons - 1. This thing is big, it barely fits in my entertainment center. 2. There are not many PS5 games to play currently, but if you want to upgrade your old PS4 you can play most of those games on the new system and they will mostly run better. 3. I have had a few issues with the rest mode and games freezing, seems like a software issue, but it has not been a flawless experience.

The PS5 is a solid purchase. The game look beautiful, load times are extremely short, the controller feels amazing, and if you have compatible head phones you can experience the amazing 3D audio. If you have library of PS4 games those will run on the PS5, sometimes with improved frame rates. This is a must purchase if you are fan of the PlayStation brand!

Buying through Best Buy online was easy and painless. I got to pickup the product a day earlier then expected. Curbside was easy and I like how they actually id me. The PS5 is fast, beautiful and the controller is very nice and very responsive. I’m very happy with the product and happy with the service that Best Buy provided for me when I purchased the console.
