PS5 is without a doubt the best and moth powerful console I've used. Sure, you can argue that PC gaming will be more powerful and customizable and future proof, but to pack this much performance and graphics power into such an innovative machine for a starting price of $400/$500 is incredible. The controllers truly shine as well with their new adaptive triggers and the new touch pad functions/design. It also is quite a bit more comfortable than the previous generation of controllers, and every change they've made only enhances the customer experience. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who can get their hands on one of these devices. Last thing is that Best Buy probably has the best current stock structure for releasing these. I was on and off the site in about 10 minutes once they launched their inventory, and the process couldn't have been easier. I've seen friends struggle with stock/inventory with other retailers, and Best Buy is the best of the competition by far in their tiered approach.

Everything is great so far. It is more of a slice of life console at the moment without to many brand new games that are a must have but in the mean time it’s nice to play my older games with beefed up performance. The newest game I’ve played on it was spider-man miles morales and it looked and played incredibly and makes me excited for the future of games. The main menu takes a bit to get used to but isn’t any worse or better than the PS4 menu in my opinion. The new controllers are really something else and improve the experience a lot more than I thought it would. Just the feeling of the tension on the triggers is something I never thought I needed but it’s a game changer. Overall I’d be fine on my PS4 but if you’re lucky enough to get the ps5 I’d go for it just for some great performance enhancements but I’m still waiting for some new games to come out that really take in all the ps5 can do.

The day has finally come! So far I am loving everything about it. I'm obviously a playstation guy so I'm bias, but man this is a beast. I can barely hear it running thanks to the dual fans, I've mostly heard it when it initially runs the disc. Time from start to loading is so fast, I didn't think it would be that big of a deal or changed but it was pretty nice to not have such a long wait time. Even my copy of Overwatch loaded faster from start to main menu. To be be honest the controller is probably one of my favorites things about the Playstation so far. The feedback on it adds a much more immersive gaming experience. the speaker on the ps4 just wasn't ever utilized properly but man, they really knocked it out of the part with this one. When I was playing demons souls I could literally hear and feel these small sounds of stepping through water or my sword dragging across the wall or ground. Obviously yes I am bias and yes this has not been out long for a full review of it. Overall though I completely satisfied with it thus far.

Great upgrade from my PS4 Pro. Wasn't as big as I thought it would be in real life. I was able to pre-order on September 17th when they announced pre-orders were open. Luckily I haven't run into any technical issues that usually plague any brand new tech launches. Fingers crossed in that regard but I've been able to play 5-6 hour sessions with no issues, slowdowns, screen freezes etc. Good job Sony Engineers! Can't wait for God of War Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West to release in 2021!! P.S. I was able to also pre-order a second and third PS5 from Target and Amazon for close family members. I DON'T UNDERSTAND why people are crying like cyber babies about them not being able to get one...obviously you aren't trying hard enough or whining during the drops that you miss it. I don't blame scalpers for charging $500-1000 over MSRP for the resell game. If you want something that you can't buy at the moment, it will cost you extra. Fair enough. Or wait until stock is available in 2021. It's not rocket science people. No sympathy.

Undeniably the best piece of tech I've bought in years. Fast: 0 loading times. Great UI. Quiet. Great graphics. Best controller the world has seen yet. I just wish it supported 1440p@120hz and that it was smaller than it is. It's massive when it sits on the TV box.

Absolutely amazing, this console is everything that we all hoped it would be. Load times after dying are crazy fast and the difference between ACV PS4 & ACV PS5 was truly a sight to behold when switching consoles. I'd like to add that Best Buy just confirmed to me why I ALWAYS buy everything I use at my house from thier store. The way they did the launch was completely fair and a testament that you don't have to sell $870 bundles at launch just cause you can. Also everyone who purchased one online eventually got one unlike Target, Walmart, Kohl's, & Gamestop who ALL sent me email confirmations of purchase and then canceled next day with no apology or reason why you couldn't get one next time inventory came in. Target and Gamestop being the worst of offenders. Best Buy continues to be my go to store for everything electronic. Bravo Best Buy and the Encinitas store you guys amazing. Employees are always so nice and appreciative that your shopping at thier store, which is how you should feel at all stores. Thanks again.

Worth the wait. This is true next gen from Sony. The graphics are obviously amazing but the loading speeds from the upgraded SSD and the new controller have to be experienced. Its great to finally have an upgraded internet card inside as well. If you can find one, definitely recommend this.

As expected, this console lives up to the hype of next gen gaming. Pros: - lightning fast, load times truly are almost instant - looks awesome, some people may not like the overall size but I think the design looks great - pretty much any positive advertised by either Sony or other users truly live up to the hype Cons: - only gripe for the console itself is that the disk drive is very loud. Additionally, not sure if just my unit or if the issue is widespread, but there is sometimes a very loud buzz/hum when the disk drive spins - only resolved when pressure is applied to the case (white piece) which leads me to believe that the case may not be as tight as it should be. Buzz is loud enough to be distracting from a movie. I have put the console in both horizontal and vertical positions and the case still buzzes. Temporary remedy has been to wedge something between the case and shelf the console sits on. All in all, if you’re fortunate enough to be able to obtain a PS5, enjoy it.

Thanks to Best Buy requiring a verification code, I was able to buy this without them being taken up by bots. The system itself is awesome, I’m right where I left of in seconds. The controller is a game changer and the star of the show for me with its haptic feedback, and adaptive triggers.

Awesome console, super quiet, extremely fast. The new Dual-Sense control is amazing, and great games exclusively for Sony PS5 and PS4. Thank you Best Buy for being the only website in my opinion, to make my transaction go through smoothly without the website crashing because of heavy traffic.

The Playstation 5 is amazing! The gameplay is smooth, responsive, and there are a lot of games to choose from. The system itself is very quiet as well. I can hardly hear it unless I put my ear near it. My console makes a slight coil whine noise but it’s nowhere near as loud as my ps4 pro (lol). I barely notice it to be honest. Also — the controller is immersive and comfortable to hold. I didn’t think i’d like the white color but it’s more of an off-white color.. almost silvery white. It looks premium. The system itself is large and I positioned mine horizontal and faced the fans sideways so it could breathe and have access to airflow. Overall the PS5 is amazing and every game runs smooth, loading times are barely there, and the experience feels stream-lined and clean. I haven’t experienced any crashes or errors. The only somewhat con is that the new menu interface is a little confusing at first. You definitely have to spend time clicking around and adjusting. I can’t wait to try out new games.. thank you!

With graphics just getting better and better it is hard to WOW a long time gamer with better looking games, but the new controller for this console is a huge game changer! The triggers and haptic feedback really immerse you in the game! I hope all developers take advantage of the new triggers!

I love Playstation, but really didn't like how much storage is taken up by each game on digital....i loved the not having the disc to worry about. But now I'm in need of storage upgrades.

Great system! Turns on and runs smoothly. Every game plays very smooth even though I don’t have the best cables/accessories to get the maximum capability from the console.

The console is huge is the only real flaw. The solid state drive eliminates load times, the 4K resolution is fantastic, the haptic controller feels like the biggest revolution in a controller since the original DualShock. Includes a free game as well. Looking forward the next generation.

Amazing system and recommend it over the other “one” any day. Great graphics and great games. System stays cool and runs great. Definitely a must buy and a big upgrade over PS4. The controller is amazing and the free game upgrades and free PlayStation collection is a great incentive also.

I love my PS5! I came in to Best Buy this day to buy a TV to go with the PS5, and the PS5s were not available at the time. I lucked out that day, as a batch just arrived that morning. The performance and value is amazing, of course and that’s why they were not in stock for so long.

Performance wise I really like what I am seeing from the PS5, The system was simple to configure and so far I have liked the new UI. The controller is a definite improvement with the enhanced haptic feedback and is also very comfortable. The ps5 is tall when standing upright or as wide as a standard home audio/video receiver on its side. When mounted on its side, the stand is off centered which makes the system somewhat wobbly. I am not a fan of the aesthetic styling of the system but I was so excited about the games coming to ps5 I will just have to wait until a ps5 slim comes out in the future and hope that it blends in with my entertainment center better.

Great console. Very quick, from what I have tried ps5 and ps4 games both run and play great. Controler feels great. The only problem I have is the hard drive space. Right now its not a huge issue but later down the road if you want alot of games loaded at once you might be disappointed.
