This is my first console in a long time, being mostly a PC gamer. I got this because Sony has great first-party exclusive games. Its graphics capability rival current top-end gaming PCs for now, and the SSD is just as promised. Games load nearly instantly. I am eager to finally try Ghost of Tsushima.

What needs to be said?! I have been so impressed so far and am only playing my second AAA title. Miles Morales was a BLAST and AC Valhalla has been a joy so far. The Dualsense controller is a game changer, the UI has been upgraded, and the speed of this beast is amazing. Cannot wait for future games!

Quick disclaimer: This is the product of the year. The PS5 is all of the hype and then some. It is an absolutely amazing console and is 100% worth the buy. The problem is Best Buy. I’m not going to drive down the ratings by giving one star to the ps5. It is a 5 star product for sure. The problem I have is of the utter ineptitude of Best Buy. It’s not just the fact that they finally got it to me a week late, that’s nothing. It’s the fact that we had to spend 16 hours on the phone dealing with Best Buy trying to find out what the heck (can’t use swear words because Best Buy is soft) was happening. So many agents expedited it and gave me days of when to expect it. The days came and went, nothing. We called corporate and had a case filed and nothing happened from that. Then we come to find out that it had been sitting in the store since Black Friday and hadn’t been prepared. We call the store and we get two people yelling at their kids and listening to rap music. We threaten to call up to their boss and those people actually have the audacity to hand up the phone, after we were on for seven minutes saying hello and asking for their help. Everyday I would wake up angry because I didn’t know if my hard earned money and time would be wasted by the most I’ll prepared and dumbest companies I’ve ever dealt with. Corporate was saying one thing, the store was saying another. Finally we had enough. We called the store one more time: “we have had enough with you guys and your extremely stupid ways. Get you, corporate and me in a 3 way call to figure this out or. Get us the ps5 that has been sitting in your store for a week in the next two days. We hung up and called corporate again. They had to change the pickup date to that day and that was all further they could do. That night it was finally ready. We waited an hour and a half in line to pick it up just to be told there was an error in the system and they had to cancel the order. But at least we were able to buy it again from the front desk. PLEASE DONT BUY THIS FROM BEST BUY AND GIVE THESE INEPT PEOPLE YOUR MONEY.

Can't wait for more games to come out for it. Loads about 95% faster than the PS4 I had, so gaming is quick and fun. Highly recommend, if you can get one. Very similar controls/menu as the PS4. Easy to learn and use. Even transferred all my old PS4 stuff directly to it during setup. Nice touch.

Excellent console to buy. I know guys its hard to find but keep going eventually you will get one. Its truly is next en console, bare minimum noise and everything runs smoothly. I loved the exclusive game, Spiderman miles morales. Looking forward to another exclusive title from insomiac games.

So fast. This a crazy jump forward in both processing power and the graphics this thing produces. It is bigger and heavier than expected. Make you check the specs and measure where you are going put this, especially if are coming from a previous slim edition. It’s probably not going to fit.

The PS5 Console is a great purchase. The size of the console is bigger than expected but, the performance is fantastic. Haven't had any issues with games, movies, streaming. One downfall is there is only one usb charging port which can be a small inconvenience if you have 2 or more controllers.

Must have console!! Never got the chance to preorder the PS3 or PS4 but when I heard the PS5 was coming had to jump on it!! Graphics are amazing, it’s smooth feel, the new controller is amazing and now being to play PS4 games on it, is icing on the cake!! Def recommend getting it once it comes out!!

It’s the ps5 what more can I say. Has way better graphics, better frame rate, games are downloaded so much faster. The dual sense controller gives a better feel and I don’t have any issues with the new design to fit my hand. The ps5 console is quite big and takes up some space, easy to setup.

I’m coming from a PS4 Slim so I didn’t have the capabilities of the Pro so going to the PS5 was a game changer for me. The graphics are amazing and it plays for much smoother and faster. It is huge compared to the Slim but I do love the design.

So far so good. You can definitely tell the difference in the UI. Gameplay wise if it’s a non optimized ps5 title it’s usually just a little faster loading. The controller is what makes this next gen. I’m really hoping most developers use this. It would make all the games shine if properly used.

Wanted to upgrade from the old system. Works great,graphics are amazing. The controllers are awesome and have a built in mic. Was a hassle trying to get it and pick it up but was totally worth it. Recommend getting the ps + gives u the ability to play online as well as free games to download!

I'm switching back to Sony for this gen after Xbox last time. The dual sense controller is awesome. So comfortable compared to the bulky xbox controller. Not too many PS5 specific titles out right now, so this is like buying the most advanced PS4 Pro. I can't wait for the games based on Unreal Engine 5 to come; games like Witcher 4 and Tomb Raider. Right now I'm playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare and it runs perfectly at 60 fps. Here's a tip: I'm actually using my Mac's external monitor as the display as desk space is limited for me. I use a device called the Genki Shadwocast and it works flawlessly. I love my PS5 and highly recommend it....if you can find it in stock. I happened to just walk in and asked if it was in stock and it was even though online it said out of stock. I suspect Best Buy is doing this now to combat the flippers.

After playing with the new Playstation 5 I can say it is great! The loading times are insane. Graphics awesome and the controller gives you a very nice experience while playing. Was after the ps5 since pre order and finally was able to get one. Hope it gets widely available for everyone.

I am happy with my purchase and enjoying my new PS5 console. Controller feels great in hands, including its features and i really like the new updated interface. So far the couple of ps5 games i played look amazing on my oled tv and cant wait for the potential this next gen consoles can bring.

My hunt for this Playstation 5 console is over. This is the best console loading is faster than ps4 and the download is super fast the controller is the best part feels good on the hand. i highly recommend getting the ps5!!!!

One of best gaming platform to date. The PS5 controller alone is a game changer. If you are still on the fence of buying a next generation console. Buy a PS5, as the games are generally more console exclusive. You wont regret it. No more wait times to boot up, and loads games very quickly.

Love the fast ssd, PS4 games look great (there is a huge difference fps-wise when played on PS5). And the dualsense haptic feedback is a neat feature that helps with the immersion in the games that support it (experienced in the included Astro's Playroom and FF14's PS5 edition).

After many years of waiting i can finally put down my ps4 and finally enjoy the all new ps5. Its slightly larger than expected but man does the graphics and functions live up to par. Is it worth the price point? yeah i guess so but get your hands on it soon because itll be awhile till the restock.

The only reason this review isn't 5 stars is because of the online purchasing process. It was incredibly difficult and crazy trying to secure a PS5 during the initial pre-order drop. That being said, once an actual confirmation came through, the process was wonderful. Best Buy kept me informed on the status of my order, provided me several different ways to pick up my PS5 once it had come in, and were extremely quick and efficient on release day. The PS5 in itself is easy to use and I love all the new features - Especially the controller. Game developers have been doing some amazing things with haptic feedback and I am excited to see the future growth of this console!
