The Sony Playstation 5 is the future of gaming. I’m gonna go over the basics quick. It is fast. VERY fast. The controller is amazing, simply. The haptics and speaker immerse you in the game. The Console Exclusives are beautifully written. The exclusives are the main reason you should go PlayStation. Some quick examples are The Horizon Games, The Last Of Us, God Of War, Stray, Sifu, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, Gran Turismo, The Spider-Man Games, Ghost of Tsushima, Sackboy, Astro’s Playroom, BloodBorne, The Last Guardian, Detriot: Become Human, and DeathLoop. Was able to get my disc version Playstation 5 on New Years Day. So far no issues with my system no controllers drifting none of them problems. It's hard to get but was worth every minute & dollar if you are able to get one don't hesitate it feels good to be gaming & viewing next gen. Also get yourself a 4k or 8k tv whatever you prefer you deserve it. I'd recommend maybe Call Of Duty: Cold War, Spiderman: Miles Morales, NBA 2K21 & NFL Madden 21 so far for PS5 games. For PS4 go back & play God Of War PS4, Horizon: Zero Dawn & Ghost Of Tsushima which all got a next gen update even Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order too the same apply with that one I just threw that one in. Just let your PS5 do the necessary updates & let it do it's thing enjoy the experience guys I don't have to tell you about the controller & all the customizability

Got super lucky during the one of the drops and landed this. Everyone's probably looked at reviews already, but is the PS5 really worth it, despite all the hype? I would say, it depends. I think it depends if you have a TV capable of showcasing the graphics and ray-tracing options. Also how much do you care about 60 fps instead of 30 from last gen? I would recommend that you have at least a 4k TV to showcase the newer features. Preferably a QLED or OLED to get the best contrasts and picture quality. If you don't have these a 4k TV, you'll at least be able to notice faster loading times and FPS, if not the resolution. You'd still probably be able to notice the better textures and smoother animations though. But it's really up to you whether that's worth it or not. For the next year or two, most big games will still be on last gen. I own a LG OLED TV and for a graphics man like me, it was totally worth it. I own many consoles and the PS5 def has the best graphics I have ever seen. There aren't many games out yet, but Spiderman- Miles Morales looked really incredible. The animations and ray-tracing effects were pretty amazing, all the while holding a stable FPS nearly all game. Finally console gaming is comparable to the graphics and FPS on a higher end PC. The negligible loading times make short gaming sessions a lot more convenient as well. The UI of the main menu is so much better I think. I wish it was like this on the PS4, but whatever. Controller is better with adaptive triggers and better haptic feedback. I like that it has more weight and bigger than before. I always liked the Xbox controller, and this feels similar to that. It's not perfect though. It's difficult for the PS5 to play 4K games at 60fps, unless if they're last gen at this point. Most games will still be 30fps at 4k, which is kind of disappointing. Games will have a quality and performance mode, in which you choose between 4k and 30 fps or lower res and 60 fps. Wish we could have both, but maybe will have to wait until PS5 Pro for that. I suspect that a lot of people will still be fine right now with the already surprisingly good performance of the base PS4 and PS4 Pro, unless you want the very best graphics, even if it's not as big of a jump as before. Many people won't have the best TV for it either. But still that won't stop people from wanting this. The hype is too high.

Can't run Oculus Proxies Simulator. Keeps crashing the PS5 after getting to checkout.

Terrible! Power source went out and have been waiting for a replacement from Beat Buy for over 2 weeks.

my husband bought one and it arrived today. we've been installing games all day and finally started the new spiderman game. the load times are amazingly fast, the new dual sense controller is phenomenal, just wish more games took use of all it's features. we're loving the physical edition of the ps5. so much so that while we have it set up in our living room, we now want to get a second console to have in our bedroom. so i'm waiting on my local bestbuy or just online to restock on the ps5 so i can also enjoy playing and streaming my games with this new console. also, this makes no sound when playing! a huge step up from the ps4. we also like how the lights on the ps5 change, white while playing and blue when turning on. looking forward to buying our second console whenever it's in stock. thanks sony!

Nice 100 dollars savings for the same performance if you are embracing the digital future. The game selection is great and the exclusives are super engaging for the most part

A great update & improvement over the PS4. The graphics are outstanding. Great value at retail price. A must own if you want to be up to date on the newest videogames

Fast! Controller is great with new triggers and haptics, party chat menu could be a little easier/faster to get to, definitely different going from xbox back to sony. Im used to xbox joystick layout which I think is more comfortable, having owning both. Astro a10 works with new console due to jack port. Sorry to hear about the spiderman rest mode bricking console issue but I just shut mine off completely. Should be fixed with software patch. I definitely think the features of the console and the new controller put it over the top on xbox series x. The games at launch are better as well IMO. Both xbox and playstation are fast but I think Sony did it better with features. Picture in picture is cool with friends. Plus good list of free games

Always improving their gaming systems with every console update. The graphics are great and the system is flawless thus far. No issues with my experience since release date.
