Four years going, and it’s still the best console gaming experience. Excellent performance where loading times are virtually non-existent on most games. An excellent library of games with the most and best exclusives.

I really was lucky to get a ps5 10 days after release date ain’t deal with no problems trying to get scammed or paying $1000+ for a ps5 in 2020 it’s 2024 going into 2025 now and my ps5 still had no issues came to s/o Best Buy for win back in 2020

PS5 is a great console to purchase. The graphics are fire.

This was during the pandemic. One of my fondest Best Buy memories to this date. I remember the friendly staff at Maryland parkway helping me with my ps5 that I still use til this day.

FYI: I own the disc version, but since non verified purchases are not allowed to review the disc version, I am reviewing it here. The Review: This console is simply amazing, it has a new ui, it feels next gen, almost all games run at 1440p 60fps or higher (unless if they are a ps4 game), and the controller with adaptive triggers and the amazing haptics is a joy to use. Games like ratchet and clank or demon's souls show how big of a step up this is from previous gen. The Demo that is included for free is so well made, but it also sort of sets unrealistic expectations, since most 3rd party or even 1st party games won't use the capability of the console and controller to that extent. This console feels more next gen, despite being less powerful than the Series X, however the Xbox has 2 big advantages, Much further backwards compatibility, and game pass. But if I have to buy a game for one of the consoles, I am certainly buying it for PS5. Overall this is an amazing console however, don't let the hype get to you resulting in you buying a scalped console, it's not worth a penny more than MSRP.

Being a Playstation fan for many years, I was quick to jump on getting the latest Incarnation. Coming from a PS4 there are a lot of changes that you are going to notice. The first thing is how smooth the OS responds and how nice it is to have the PS Store directly integrated into the main menus. On PS4, loading the store was always painful and slow. The SSD make s huge difference in loading speeds. This was probably one of the biggest features I was exciting about. The biggest surprise is the evolution of the controller. While on the surface it looks like your Dual Shock controller, but it is really much more. The rumble is similar to what you have on the Nintendo Switch Joycons, but takes it to the next level. The adaptive triggers are another feature that you didn't know you were missing. They allow developers to dynamically increase the resistance of the L2 and R2 triggers based on the situation. You really need to experience them to see what an evolution it is. On top of it all, the PS5 comes with Astro's Playroom. While it is a tech demo of what the PS5's controller is capable of, it is also a great game. The game is a great platformer that contains many Playstation easter eggs.
