Been almost a month and I haven’t had a single problem! Runs well, very silent, and fast load times!

Finally after months of trying, I was able to secure a PS5! It helps to follow Twitter accounts of people who post live updates of a drop, and also to have all your credit card & shipping info already stored in your BestBuy account. The console is beautiful and fast and the picture is remarkable.

The system is still incredible. I don’t get into the console wars nonsense. I do own an Xbox one X too. But this is truly a next gen experience and so glad I chose this over the series X. I couldn’t be happier with my console choice. If you’re on the fence as I was I would say PS5 over Series X. The PlayStation exclusives, the system performance, the new controller (even this is next gen) just feels like a new experience.

Really enjoying the next-gen console experience thus far! PS5 games like Spider Man Mile Morales look amazing, and the large library of PS4 games provides plenty of content. Fast internet (ideally without a data cap) is a must-have for disc free gaming. If you have that, I think the digital edition is a great option given the lower price and more symmetrical case (which I think looks much better than the disc edition).

Slowly we seem to be bridging the console v. computer gap. This is a very fast console, and it's amazing to see the speed difference between my previous PS4 Pro and PS5. Some of the games with very long loading times on the PS4 Pro load incredibly fast on the PS5, and it's now more of a joy to play my PS4 games. I'm lucky to have gotten this console very near launch and hope others get a chance to experience this console soon as well.

Excellent GPU. It is also quite large, make sure to check your case dimensions. I recommend atleast a 750w power supply. Yes, it's expensive and hard to get. Paired with a powerful CPU, this thing will get about 80 frames on 1440p highest settings in a game like Red Dead Redemption 2. Obviously individual games, etc will vary. It can do 4k gaming as well, but don't expect the same performance as a 3080 or 3090.

Great product and a big upgrade from the PS4. Load screens are much faster.

As much as one would expect a launch console to have tons of problems, this one doesn't. In fact, you can bring your entire PS4 library with you to play games on this. If you don't have a PS4, get PS+ and Sony gives you 12 of their best games from PS4 for free with the console. One thing people get concerned with is the SSD: will it live up to PC gaming? The only way I can compare is by games I play on cross-play, namely Final Fantasy XIV. It's fun to see that I load into the area faster than other people because both the GPU and SSD work well in this baby. Internet works well on it, but definitely run ethernet if you want it at max speed. The remotes don't seem to have any input lag so you can play pretty well competitively in games, and connecting headphones can be done with a wireless connection to the system (via USB, usually) or through the controller (my preferred method). You can also mute/unmute your headset through the controller and the controller has a microphone and a speaker so you don't even need a headset (I suggest a headset for clarity though). The only thing I can think of as a problem on this is the switcher which is supposed to let you switch near seamlessly between games and apps, but it in fact just re-opens the app back to the starting menu when you use it. It's pretty disappointing since the Series X/S can run that function pretty smoothly.
