Truly a fast tank. A few growing pains (2nd player controller freezes up occasionally, no folders or themes in UI, controller buttons for L1/R1 are a lil big, backwards compatible games will try to download last gen version every time you turn on console if you don’t turn off automatic downloads, inside of console is EASILY scratched upon removal of panels, and last-ish but not least, Not all functions (screen share, broadcast, twitch, & more party functions) are backwards compatible.), but it has massive potential to be the greatest PlayStation console to date. A beautiful path has been laid, but it’s going to have to fill up some of the holes so we can run instead of walk. -The Pelican

To get to the point, it’s an amazing device. Not only do you have innovative device on your hands, but it also come with a charming software called Astro’s playroom that effectively highlights the controller and console’s strengths. If it weren’t so hard to obtain, I’d recommend people to get it now.

Absolutely love this console. Big upgrade over my launch ps4 which was definitely showing its age. Games load quickly and the UI is very snappy. Love the new controller as well. Its a little on the bulky side in terms of system design, but it still manages to look futuristic and sleek.

Love it, the new UI is sleek and it does everything so fast compared to the PS4 and PS4 Pro. Wish Sony did a Black model as well but I'll grab some plates online, can't wait til they release colors of the DualSense, the white seems like it'll get discolored if you don't clean it regularly.

My first Sony console. I love the controller and the game library. The console is missing some technical features the Xbox has but it's controller is the real show stopper for now. Also the menu system is not as robust and quick to use as the Xbox Series X's is.

After many months and many fail attempts, i was finally able to get one. It a great console and currently replaying many of old games for the ps5 amd it’s refreshing to have a smoother experience. The controller feels great plus the speed of the SSD makes it so fast to load games.

Decent console, great graphics and load times. Needs more next gen games. Worth waiting until you can find one for msrp. So far you're not messing out on anything by not having one.

Welcome to next gen! Was lucky enough to get in a launch day in-store preorder and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The Dual Sense is a game changer, and the pack-in Astrobot game gives you a taste of all the cool things the controller can do. Demon's Souls and Miles Morales are must haves!

Obviously, this item was the hottest item of 2020! So i’m so happy that I was able to get my boyfriend one. The graphics are awesome! The quality of the device is amazing. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say at all. If you are able to get your hands on one, definitely buy it. You won’t regret it.

I have experienced no issues with the console so far. It has not frozen up on me or glitched as of yet. It is much faster than the PS4 and better in every way. The new DualSense controller is much easier to hold and enhances the gameplay experience. Overall a fantastic console.

I got lucky & got my order to go through back in November. So far it’s been a great buy! I know bots or whatever have made getting one a horrible experience but all I can say is this product isn’t worth more then $550 especially if you have a PlayStation 4 pro. Please be patient & don’t give up!

Absolutely fantastic console. Hella fast and smooth AF. PS Now also works great even on WiFi and there is ZERO lag compared to playing on PC. And it makes zero noise, loudest I hear is when the disc is reading and still pretty low. Can't wait to play all the next gen games, 2021 will be a great year!

I cant believe I got one! Amazing 4k blu ray player!

The actual console is a lot bigger than I thought it would be and the controller is heavier than the PS4 one. The trigger buttons feels a lot better than the PS4. Updating the system and downloading games takes forever but overall I'm very happy with the PS5.

Bought as a Christmas gift and my son absolutely loves it. The loading time is very fast and the new interface is nice. FYI keep PS4 plugged in while setting up the PS5. The transition from the PS4 to the PS5 was very smooth and hassle-free. It's a huge console but, powerful in the way it operates.

Amazing console with 9th gen upgrades that show with faster loading times because of an SSD and beautiful 4k with the potential for 8k with newer TV's. Anyone reading best of luck trying to score the PS5 as you will eventually get yours and be able to enjoy the next gen of gaming!

This is a great console! The graphics are amazing and the system is super fast. The only negative thing about the PlayStation 5 is that there aren't many games available as of right now. Hopefully more games will be released for it. Everything else about the console is great so far!

Great console. I've heard people have issues with the console or controller but so far it's been working perfect for me. Haven't bought many games as of this review but the few that I did play well and I've been having fun. Recommended for any PlayStation or really, any gamer!

Overall very pleased with this console. Having an SSD really makes this nice and easy to navigate. Improved fidelity and more games available at 60 fps standard makes this an easy upgrade over the PS4. With backwards compatibility with last gen titles there really is no reason to get a PS4 anymore.
