Doesn't really click into place in anyway. The one i had for ps4 held the controllers in very nicely & was hoping this one did the same but they just sit on it. There is a slight magnetic pull that hold them but it isn't much

It works and frees up the USB port

Only complaint is that the controllers don't always seem to sit fully in place when you put them in which would prevent any charging.
