I was skeptical at first and used to say to myself why pay for this if my PlayStation charges my controller with the type c charging cable. But to be honest this charging port por is worth it. I just have to place it for a full charge and there it is fully charge within 2 hours. A must have to charge your controllers.

I have 3 PS5 controllers. This allows me to charge 2 of the controllers while I am using one of the controllers to play the PS5.
