I bought these for my NBA 2k15 game which allows me to use face scan. This camera is awesome. It also can be used as a mic.

I think once they make more games for it, it will be more useful. As of right now, you are limited on what you can do with it.

For the price it's not too bad but the xbox kinect is way better though. Wish ps4 would make something similar

Simply put this is the first accessory one should purchase for their PS4 ... along with another controller and a game.

My son wanted this for Christmas and was thrilled. It works as described but the lighting has to be perfect.

When one enters a Best Buy with a reward certificate about to expire and no particular purchase in mind, one is likely to make an impulsive purchase. I end up walking out with a Playstation Camera - a decision validated by a compulsive desire to have my PS4 similarly equipped to its Microsoft badged cabinet mate. Unfortunately the PS Camera is nowhere near as versatile or useful. The facial recognition feature requires poising with your controller in a particular frame of reference dictated by the camera, effectively removing the minimal convenience such a feature offered to begin with. The breadth of voice commands is paled in comparison to it's contemporary and limited to system actions; I've yet to see a single game (aside from the demo purposed Playroom) utilize the Camera even for voice, let alone the primary purpose of visual capture. Is there a future for this device? Perhaps to be utilized with Project Morpheus and corresponding next-generation Move controllers? I sure hope so... for as it stands this device serves next to no purpose.

No major issues with this. Works great for the kids gameroom.
