The camera works well for picking if you weigh more than 60 pounds. But for our 3 year old even though we can get her fully in the shot it will not pick her up. Camera is also very sensitive to lighting condotions and it helps to wear a white shirt for contrast.

Works 100% as expected. Easy to install and use!!!

I picked on up expecting to have an experience similar to the Xbox One with voice control and other functions. The camera does not deliver on that front. Either the microphone is garbage or the voice recognition software is because i cannot get it to work with any regularity. Probably less than 50% accuracy while the Xbox was closer to 85-90%. Auto login is a nifty feature, and if you are playing with another person it can tell who has what controller based off the profile. The motion tracking is also pretty good, but I feel it is a bit of a gimmick as the only game that I have played so far that makes use of it is Second Son. I would not recommend buying it unless you are a Twitch/Ustream user or want to use the auto login feature.

Over all I like the camera, it has some games that my niece and nephew love to play in the playroom, but the fact that the mic is always on and it has to be manually turn off in the setting can get somewhat annoying. Just wishes more games would use the technology

What is the purpose of this camera (low definition) if you cannot use it as a recording device? I was expecting that I would be able to record and save data (without sharing it). Not possible !

*Having a slow and steady hand helps!* This PS4 camera was pretty close to my own face when I used the face scan on NBA 2K 15. Any other game that uses the camera, I will be sure to try out! The only problem was that it took me a few times to get it correct.

Playstation camera is great for registering movement for games that fit better for it like just dance. It also has voice recognition which is great for navigating, activating and deactivating apps and the Playstation itself. It also is good for talking to friends on speakerphone for online gaming like call of duty or destiny.
