I got this on sale so it makes it mildly better but this thing has nothing to do with games or ps4 tech beyond playing in the original light room. Don't buy it and think twice about buying any other Sony peripherals because their support beyond initial (Playstation Move) is pitiful.

I specifically picked it up for just dance but it was disappointing. Camera struggles recognizing young kids...

I think this camera stinks it will pick up more than one person,when just one person is playing gets a little annoying...

I like how I auto login now with the face recognition. I like how it functions as a mic for me for multiplayer as well. It has other nifty features I dont take advantage of and Ill be ready when the playstation VR headset comes out.

Poor quality video. It doesnt detect very well and the playback is awful.

This is great its a must have for all ps4 owners. When i got my ps4 i didnt grt the camera, boy was i missing out. I was able to scan myself into the game as a character. Wow. If dont have the camera its never to late to get it, you wont be disappointed.

So I never really saw myself needing this but when it was on sale during the holiday season I figured why not and I'm kind of glad I did. I don't play any games currently that I use the camera for however it makes my other normal actions and gameplay very hassle free. The video ( facial ) log in feature is awesome matched with the voice recognition, it makes non gameplay actions a breeze especially until they come out with better remotes for the PS4. Also since PS4 currently doesn't allow use of non gaming bluetooth headsets the built in microphone is extremely handy. Overall it seems like a novelty but a useful one if you know what you're doing.

Only reason this camera was bought was for NBA 2k15, and it sucks

It is solidly made and can be used to enhance certain games that support it. Also if you're planning on broadcasting your gameplay you should get it. As a bonus it can also be used as a microphone to speak during online gaming.

I read lots of these reviews before purchasing and almost didn't get this camera because everyone talks about how Kinect for Xbox better. I've never owned Xbox, so can't make that comparison, but glad I decided to get the PS4 camera. It is nice to pick up a remote and it logs me (as well as 2 kids) automatically, although the room has to be fairly bright to do so. There are some "playroom" games that work with the camera and touchpad that are fun and free. It comes with a cool hinged bracket that was great for sitting it on top of my plasma TV in matter of few mins and since it is black on black, you don't notice it there during movies. Nice addition to the PS4, esp at discounted / black Friday pricing!

It's more of a gimmick than anything else, but it is pretty cool. I myself rarely use it, but my nieces and nephews have a blast with it when they're over. There's a lot of cool things you can do with AR Studio App in the game. Interacting with robots and custom creating writing and drawings that you can project on TV. Very awesome. I'm assuming as gaming advances further, it'll be utilized more. For now though, I might use it has a microphone here and there. I would only recommend this if you have a family or nieces and nephews.

I love the ability to just have facial recognition to log in and that it can locate the controllers with the light. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is because my living room has overhead lights from a fan and it will say that I need to brighten the room to play certain games. Also you can use audio commands to control the PS4, but I get to the specific game/app and when I say "start" it doesn't work, and I have to start all over again. But luckily, I don't really need these features as much as others do.

I bought this on sale for $39.99 and it is pretty cool. There isn't that much content for it aside from using it to stream onto the Playstation Network and scanning your face into NBA 2K15. But compared to buying an Xbox One Kinect sensor at $150, I wasn't upset with the purchase. It is just in due time that developers find ways to use the camera in other ways than originally planned for. Otherwise it is a great add on for kids to use with the playroom.

Basic camera for the PS4. Can be used when broadcasting your gameplay through Twitch/Ustream and the built in microphone allows you to voice chat durting games if you have no other microphone. Not a whole lot available yet that uses the camera, game wise. NBA2K does use the camera when creating your "My Player" There's also the free download of the "Playroom" which has a couple cool items but nothing really special.

I decided to pick up one of these and I am glad that I did! The Play Room games are quite fun and my young kinds enjoy the robots. The mic on this thing is amazing! No need for a headset for chat, just use this! The use of voice commands to operate the PS4 is also a very neat feature and works amazingly well!

My son loves using the camera. He loves gaming and asked for this camera for Christmas. He uses it every time any game he has allows it. It's a nice small size too, nothing obtrusive. He said is adds to his gaming experience and is very happy with the functionality.

Not the clearest or best megapixel but it does the job when I want to log into my PS4 with facial recognition or play Just Dance. However, my friend was able to activate my PS4 with the camera, so I guess it's not that great of a megapixel or resolution?

I bought this game for my Just Dance 2015 and let me tell you it was awesome, the ability if tge camera to recognize you and detect your steps is great, the clarity in the tv is fantastic nothing is pixelated or anything, you can also use this when loggin in to your ps4 for face detection to log in.
