I am not a fan of paying for monthly subscription after purchasing an expensive game console but we are strong armed. Without the monthly subscription,you won't be able to enjoy the multiplayer features. Sigh

If you want to play online on PS4 you need PS Plus and the 12 months is the best way to go.

I only got it to play online on the PS4 and PSN has digital discounts and free games to justify for it sometimes. Not bad at all, but I wish the PSN was more reliable for the price we pay for these things.
