Great deal since you get discount when you buy several months at once, Remember you get to "keep" the free games and play them as long as you keep your PS+ membership active.

Great for trying new games w/o buying full game

He can download extras for his games and try new games as a trial to see if he likes it before purchasing the actual game. This has saved him some money and introduced him to some games he would not have tried otherwise.

It's not like Sony needs any more money from us consumers to pay $70 a game or $400 for a console and then have to pay more to play with our friends. Ridiculous!

It is also a goid go beteen if your 12 month membership expires and you don't want to spend the money for a new 12 month membership right away
