Necessary for online PS4 play and you get a couple of other benefits from it as well, two free games a month, cloud saving, discounts in ps store.

I prefer to not deal with the playstation store directly when it comes to credit card information due to their past data breaches so I always pick up my PS Plus renewal from Best Buy. The ability to purchase online and have the code emailed is quick and easy.

This is the number one thing that my son wants for Christmas every year since he got his PlayStation. I usually wrap it up in a box with a huge bow so he has something to unwrap; and he usually has guessed that it is a shirt or some clothing item-only to be very excited when it is this.

Use PS Plus for discounts on PSN. If you want to play online multiplayer it's great for that also. Cloud saves are also helpful when you don't have a lot of storage in your PS4. On top of that every month Sony hooks you up with a free game every month for PS Plus. I enjoy my purchase.

I bought PS Plus on Black Friday for $40 as opposed to the regular price of $60. This is the best time to stock up for the price to save money and makes a great gift. Also, I don’t like to give my credit card number so to save money and to avoid using a credit card is a bonus.

It was definitely worth the sale price I bought it for. I love getting the two free games every month and the other benefits that comes with ps plus.

Sony - PS Plus: 12-Month Membership - Digital is great value. I don't know why they say it is free games because there are no free games, you pay for the subscription. However, there are great deals for the cost of admission. I love it and I recommend it for anyone that owns a ps4.

I feel a little bad about this review because honestly I don't know exactly what the PS Plus membership does for me. My much wiser - well video game wiser - friend said I had to get it and it was on sale when I got the PS4 and so I have it. My only complaint, and it's kind of an "Old man yells at cloud" thing is that the sign up process had to be done through the PS4. My various streaming services have a streamlined system that allowed me to use the computer for the majority of the typing bits. The PS Plus seemed to be all on the screen using the controller which I use... Let's say "badly" :) Once it was done it worked great, I did lots of downloading, and saw that I could buy games, movies, even add a Plex app to the PS 4, so that was great.

I do miss the free ps network days, but I don’t mind paying for the service as long as you get your money’s worth. In my personal experience, the PS+ does deliver what you pay for it compared to XBOX Live. I’m not a fan boy of either system, but XBOX has way too many updates.

I bought this on Black Friday when it was on sale, and I just activated it yesterday. It turns out psn was having a special if you bought 12 months you got 3 free and that applied to cards activated during this time too. So I got 15 months of plus for around $30.

We get this every year to be able to play online and do additional things with the games on the PlayStation 4. This is a purchase I make online through Best Buy.com and we have had no issues getting it delivered and having the code work as specified

If you have a PlayStation 4. , then this is really needed to play online against others. There are hardly any games that don’t use this feature. It’s also needed for certain games specifically as they don’t have an offline mode like the old games of the past.

It was wonderful to see the face on my boyfriend when he opened it, it works awesome also.

We buy this every year as a christmas present. You get great deals throughout the year on in-game purchases and games. I believe it is the only way to get some things on the PS4 anyway, so you almost need it.

This was a great purchase. We bought it online for our son's PS4 Pro and were sent a link by email with instructions on how to set it up. We just followed the instructions and were good to go within 5 minutes. Super easy. Would definitely recommend.
