tis the season to purchase and become a ps+ member, especially on black Friday when it is $40 and not for the asking price of $60. it's a great deal because the free downloadable games offer whether it is to your liking or not are around $20-$40, and that's 2 games per month for 12 month. do the math.

Have been a PlayStation Plus member for years, but this one I bought for my son as a gift. Much more effective than just adding it by credit card on his account because we printed out the graphic and put it in a card for him and he was able to add it to his own account. Made it feel more real to him. PlayStation Plus is well worth it.

I have gotten an annual subscription to PS plus a few times, when I can find a good discount on it. I don't like paying for the online/multiplayer access, but it's the only way to get it. You do get a few games each month, as well, for your use as long as you have the subscription active.

you can't play your Playstation online without it. Getting free games every month makes a required purchase that much better.

Some may think it is silly to need PSN. I on the other hand greatly appreciate the value of the free games and online play.
