Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the impressive sound quality and comfortable fit of the PULSE Explore Wireless Gaming Earbuds for PS5. Many appreciate the decent battery life and sleek design. However, some customers have expressed concerns regarding connection issues and the relatively high price point. Additionally, a few users feel the earbuds could benefit from improved bass and a higher maximum volume.

Let me start by saying that these sounds fantastic. But I would be lying if i said they are worth the price. Other than the price, I would highly recommend these. They work very well with the PS5 and the PlayStation Portal.

These are honestly great. Best fitting earbuds I’ve ever had. Having audio is crisp and full. Music audio may not stand up to a music snobs tastes, but it’s not as bad as they’d have you believe. Well worth the money.

The Playstation earbuds are nice to look at but their functionality is terrible. They use the new PS link technology, which is supposed to function like bluetooth. The thing is, it doesnt. Atlesst not very well anyway. No matter what im playing, the earbuds just keep disconnecting. They only work at close range. And when i say close, i mean close. Like your Playstation has to be right next to you. Thats just unacceptable. Ive bought them on two different occasions hoping that something had changed. It hasnt. I can only recommend these for Playstation Portal users.

I really do likw these earbuds. I use them for both my PS5 and Playstation Portal, they sound and feel great! The ONLY thing I will say, is that they do tend to hurt a tad after a long period with them on. But other than that, thet feel GREAT!

Comfortable in the ears. Case is sleek. Basically noise cancelling and base and sound are fantastic. A little pricey but i have no regrets and the vibrations and feedback during games is shockingly fun to feel.

They keep disconnecting and reconnecting . First one side then the other then both. I have to keep pairing them to my phone. They pair up to my phone and on the next use, it says no longer able to connect and asks me to delete from my phone. They sound good though

Some cinnection issues, but mostly great earbuds. I use them for the ps5, the portal and a logitech g gaming handheld, with only occasional issues with the ps5. The right earbud will sometimes disconnect and its pretty annoying.

I got these today and they connected to my ps5 right away. Played a few games for about an hour and they were still going strong. I do have to agree that they do hurt my ears a bit but i have not tried the other tips yet. All in all i will be keeping these.

The sound quality is very good. I can easily use them with my pc , phone, and ps5 with ease. The only negatives I have is they fit a little awkward but after awhile I got use to them and the battery life is not the greatest compared to other earbuds.

First of all, don't expect much of these. The pulse Explorer are decent they offer just enough, but they're lacking a bunch, and the price point they are being sold is ridiculous. I have these in the Pulse Elite yet. These have a mixed bag of love and hate. Are they worth it for what they offer? Yes, and no, and here's my takeaway. If you have a PlayStation portal then go ahead and buy these you're going to enjoy them they're going to work because going to be tied to these or option b have a cable hanging getting in the way due to Sony's proprietary method of connection. These are the only options you have if you want to go Wireless now the sound quality don't expect it to be better than the pulse Elite because it's not it's a hit or a Miss. They are futuristically awkward looking and prepare to adjust them here and there or sometimes often because it all comes down to the person's ear canal and shapeSo when you start sweating you are going to be adjusting these often which will cripple your gaming experience. Like I mentioned before they are worth it. If you have a PlayStation portal and you do most of your gaming there, if you don't then I wouldn't bother looking at these and going after them. The Pulse Elite will do fine for television gaming and to close down my thoughts. I would only buy these if it comes down to owning a PlayStation portal. Other than that I stay away from them.

Buyer Beware. I bought these brand new first hand and cannot get them to stay connected. They randomly drop mid game/discord. (discord/playstation chat/game chat doesn't matter). Completely have to shut down the ps5 - then re-pair them. These are first party ear buds and should not have this issue. Many people say to leave the case open when using them - which does help - but still disconnects - but weird that needing the case open helps?

The short of it is for the $200 price tag these simply don't cut it, the connection via. the dedicated dongle is incredibly shoddy and prone to disconnects and has a very short range compared to just about any other wireless offering. The bluetooth audio quality is incredibly subpar on the other end, the planar magnetic drivers serve as a double edged sword on this end as the lossless audio quality offered on PS5 is great, whats puzzling however is bluetooth uses AAC 16-bit audio which introduces very noticible compression making everything sound muffled and low quality, SBC actually sounds better but the connection quality is incredibly unstable should you opt to disable AAC making it borderline unusuable. This makes very little sense being the only codec option at this price point as Sony literally developed the LDAC codec as a higher quality bluetooth option which is present in most of their high pricetag products, yet seemingly absent from these. There is simply no excuse for the poor bluetooth audio quality at this price point, it is just laziness on the end of Sony. Again this is a $200 product, and that goes without mentioning its missing a lot of basic features that are staples in this price range for wireless audio when they want to tout how amazing and immersive the audio experience is. If both sides of the audio experience were great on their own it would be an easy reccomend, but both have glaring issues currently and I cannot reccomend these to anyone. -1 for the frequent disconnects on PS5, -1 for the unacceptably poor quality bluetooth audio, and -1 for lack of any real basic standard features at this price point

Best earphone/earbuds I’ve even had for gaming. I don’t like big headphones over my head so these are awesome. I love how I can connect to both my game and phone at the same time
