The voice recorder looks like it can do a very good job if you're already an experienced user. Novices need not apply. The written use instructions by Sony provide little instruction and no explanation of why an empty SD Card slot is there. Sony explains that if you want more info you should go to an on-line site HELP MANUAL. When you go there, you find it's only a rehash of what you already have on paper. Usage is not intuitive. I'll keep the device and muddle through a try and fail process.

Improved sony that allows you to set date , time and access to review latest recording. There is also a feature that allows you to tramsfer recordings to laptop to flash drive.

I was impressed with the sound quality upon playback

This recorder works off batteries which is the reason I purchased it. My old recorder used a USB port for charging. My new laptop has USBC ports only. I find that this recorder is great for recording conference meetings and phone conversations. (Check the law in your state for recording phone conversations 1st)

I have this in a waterproof box with an external mic to record wildlife sounds. Its been great so far and the sensitivity level with the external mic is adjustable which is good. Audio files are broken into 12 hour segments when left recorder for a long time.

The sound quality is great. It’s easy to use. Generous amount of hours of recording time. I’ve already used it for many more situations than I originally purchased it for! And it’s small footprint makes it easy to hold and carry in my purse. Highly recommend.

Works very well. Using the recorder to record my parakeet , so I can replay the recording to hear what he is actually saying. Working out well.

Like it, just wished the Folder #2 would show up on the screen every time I start/stop the recorder. I would like to know what # of folder it is recording to.

Great sound capture and storage capability. Downside: buttons are easily pressed by accident. Doesn't automatically switch to external storage, so will stop recording once internal storage is full. Can accidentally delete recordings if bumped while on. Needs a locking button instead of a push button. Good amount of recording space makes it convenient so you don't have to transfer files frequently.

Worked good once i figured it out. Wasnt one i wanted and went to 2 stores so i got this one. Was more complicated than other one.

Small device makes a big difference taking notes or listening to lectures make a lot more sense when you can play it all back over and over. Makes college life easier

This recorder will be used to record the practice sessions for choir. It is small which makes it easy to carry to practice sessions.

Got this voice recorder for courtroom setting. Had previous experience with this particular model, therefore, it was trustworthy. The only thing you gotta remember is to have SPARE batteries on hand, just in case.
