Problematic

She shares a room with another woman who complains about my Mother-in-laws TV volume. Purchased this item from Best Buy, thought it would resolve the problem. Setup was not an isssue but after two days the headphones stopped working and I returned the system for another one. Over the past few months there were no issues but she now complained about it not working. Thought that the people at the facilities were not hanging up the headphone correctly. Sometimes the headphones needed to be adjusted for the red light to come on indicating charging. She still complained that it did not work. I brought the system home and let charge for a full 24 hours to find that the red light did not stay on. Had to reposition headset. Waited an additional 12 hours same issue. I have not had any luck with this specific product. I’ll need to find something else. This system is about six months old.

Can't believe how bad they are...

They where super easy to set-up but constantly disconnected and cut-out from April 2017 to December 2017. I tried to fix them with all the suggestions but nothing worked. I exchanged them in December 2017 under the Best Buy Protection plan. They worked very well until 2 weeks ago and the battery wouldn't hold a charge for more than 10 minutes and then eventually stopped turning on. I replaced the batteries with the same type and still nothing held and they eventually stopped turning on. I exchanged them again and the new (third!) pair do not hold battery either after a week. Now I have to go back into Best Buy looking ridiculous for exchanging this item a third time. If I had any recommendation about these headphones I would say buy the protection plan because you will be using it quite a bit due to how horrible these headphones are. Thank goodness for the Best Buy protection plan though. I will be taking store credit and not buying this brand of headphones ever again. ***Note, the headphones have been connected to a Sony brand TV so the connection issue is not a problem, simply bad product***

Sony TV, Vol to high for wife

The problem was, for me to hear, I had to turn up the TV volume to levels that bothered the wife (she wears hearing aids, I don't) . I got these and plugged into my headphone jack on the TV. Now she listens to the audio through the sound system at low levels and I wear the headphones at a higher vol level. Another advantage is I don't have to listen to her commentary during a movie :-) PS I did not have to change my TV settings for these to work, but there are several settings for headphone/speaker in your TV's settings / audio, you may have to fiddle with, for both speakers and headphones to work simultaneously.

Junk

Next day it wouldn't hold the connection. Tried several more times over a few days with no luck. Returned. I was months past the 14 day return period but Best Buy took them back saying they all come back. This was an open box or refurb unit.

Sony Could Have Done Better

They sound okay, but are tight on your ears unless you have a smaller head. The button placement is not well thought out. You actually have to take them off of your head to find the tuning button, as well as the volume wheel. Sony dropped the ball on this one

Too much static

Works fine on tv in smaller room that is right next to it. Both rooms face outside. Why? Debating on returning item or just use in the small room.

Re-chargeable Battery LIfe

DO NOT WORK-WILL NOT SETUP

That previous model was Sony wireless MDR-RF985RK WE LOVED THOSE BIT DIDNT LAST! Bought this model for my dad AND FOR 2 WEEKS BAVK N FORTH TO BEST BUY WILL NOT WORK! Have setup w Samsung smart tv via 3.5mm that came with & bought ANOTHER SET OF A/V banana plugs separately) AND AN ADAPTER ! ALL 3 DO NOT WORK! Nothing works! No sound at all!!! Same place & position as other Model that all of a sudden went out & NOW THESE ARE WORTHLESS UNFORTUNATELY!! sioooo frustrated!!!! My dad needs headphones for his tv & now at a loss as to what to do !!!! So much time spent w reps who cannot help( I even bring pics of connections on samsung tv I bought FROM BEST BUY IN JANUARY) & they continue to sell me another set of cables & say THIS will work——4 more hours yesterday & STILL DO NOT WORK!!!!

Terrible Description - Didn’t specify what it was
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When I was looking for new headphones to buy, I googled “Bluetooth wireless headphones” and this was the first option Best Buy gave me. When I went to the store to pick it up, I took it home not knowing it would only connect to a TV. I was very disappointed because I said “Bluetooth Headphones” in google, but it gave me headphones that didn’t have Bluetooth compatablility. I suppose I could have read the reviews better, but something like that should be in the description at least.

Stopped working
