Average product. Had better expectation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had better expectation from this considering the brand name of SONY. It did not live up to my expectation. Sound quality is not bad, but not to the quality to match up its price tag. Also there is a low volume constant whining soundsomething like old AM radio noises which bothers me a lot. The ear cups are well designed, sit well on ears comfortable but overall I am disappointed with this product

BETTER THAN MOST
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own a older model of the Sony Wireless Ear Headphones which were great. The new headsets sound is excellent and I do not hear any background noise!! I have a hard time hearing certain levels of sound but not bad enough for hearing aids and my husband really appreciates the new headphones so the TV is not blaring. The reason I have not given this a 5 star is because you must turn them off every time you remove them from your head. Being used to the older set I forget and the battery runs down just when I need them. The older set I have turn off when they are remove. Overall I would recommend them because of the great sound, very comfortable and blocking out the other noise in the room.

Great headset for a hard-of-hearing old guy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my father-in-law so he could listen to TV via headphones without blowing out everyone else's eardrums in the room. These things serve their purpose and actually sound GREAT. He said they are extremely comfortable... and with volume controls on the headset itself, if he ever needs to increase or decrease the volume of what he's watching, the remote stays put - he just adjusts the headphones volume so the volume in the room remains the same for everyone else. Great product - and THANK YOU SONY!!

Great Sound, Easy set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these for my Father-in-Law who is hard of hearing in one ear and needed the TV up really loud to hear well. Set up was easy, once we purchased a 3.5mm Mini-to-RCA Stereo Audio Cable(wish it had come with it). Plugged in to the TV, put the headphones on and worked right away. Sound was really good. No complaints from my Father-in-Law and he can be picky. My only thoughts would be to include the more commonly used cable with the purchase and for an upgrade, if each side of the headphone could have a separate volume control. Very happy with the purchase.

Nice headphones for listening to TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Headphones work great, and am able to listen to our TV privately while the wife listens to the other TV on the loft. They have great quality sound. Would have given 5 stars, but occasionally they cut out for just a second.

Q: QuestionThe red light on the charging station comes on as it should, then it turns green. Within about 15 minutes of use the headphones stop working and the green light goes out. I've only had these for 7 months. Do I need a new battery already?
Asked by Battery.
- A:Answer I went to Amazon and looked at reviews. I hadn't realized that I could use regular batteries. I've switch them out, and it's fine. I will purchase rechargables and ditch the Sony charging stand. Thanks!

Q: QuestionIf I am listening to TV through these headphones is the sound still transmitting from the TV for others to hear?
Asked by Rick.
- A:Answer Most likely yes. It will depend on where you are receiving your sound input for your headphones. In my case, I connected to my cable box. So the tv sound control continues thru the tv. I can mute the tv sound and still have sound thru my headphones.

Q: QuestionOur Sony MDR-RF995RK has been charging for hours and the red light is still on. How long does the initial charge usually take?
Asked by Carol.
- A:Answer Hi, Carol, This headset requires seven to nine hours to fully charge. Every time the headphones are removed and placed back on the transmitter, the red LED will light up for another seven to nine hours cycle. Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I have a LG TV TOO. THERE IS A SPECIFIC BACK ON THE LEFT SIDE ( LOOKING AT TV). If you need to mute TV sound, need a different cable that has the red/white rac jacks. Plug in rear of cable box to work.
