Sony wireless rear speakers

Worked flawlessly for a month or two, and sounded amazing, then they would randomly cut in and out occasionally. Left rear speaking stopped connecting January 2025, right after 1 year warranty. This is not the Sony quality I have experienced over the last 35+ years of owning Sony products. Very disappointed. I am going to try the S8 rear speakers. If I have any issues with those, I am done with Sony products. Take it for what it's worth, but I would avoid these speakers.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced with your HT-A7000 system, SARS5 rear speakers, and SA-SW5 subwoofer. We understand how frustrating it can be when equipment doesn't perform as expected, especially after years of enjoying Sony products.
To help resolve the problem with your left rear speaker cutting out and not connecting, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
Check Speaker Placement and Interference: Ensure the rear speaker is positioned at least 1.5 meters (5 feet) away from any wireless LAN routers or other devices that might cause interference. Also, remove any obstacles between the soundbar and the rear speaker to maintain a clear line of sight. More details can be found here:

Adjust Rear Speaker Volume: Use the soundbar remote to press the "REAR" (rear speaker volume) "+" button to increase the volume of the rear speaker. Additional info is available at:

Reset Wireless Speaker Settings: On the soundbar remote, press the "HOME" button and navigate to: Setup > Advanced Settings > Speaker Settings > Wireless Speaker Settings.
In the "RF Channel" setting, select "Off," wait a few seconds, then turn it back "On."
Update System Software: Ensure your soundbar software is updated to the latest version (1.799). Instructions and confirmation for your software version can be found here:

But, understand that a lot of what you're viewing doesn't offer 5:1 audio which means there won't be any sound or a negligible amount coming out of the rear speakers.

They die too quickly to be considered wireless . I need to have mine plugged in all the time otherwose they die after one movie or so.

To quiet and the power cords were to short. I have heard that the new bravia soundbars programming have greatly improved these but when I used them with the Sony 7000 soundbar they weren't even worth half the price Sony was asking.

I’m very let down from the product cutting in and out very scattered, when it actually worked It sounded amazing. The problem is when you’re watching a movie and it cuts in and out at very annoying when you’re trying to focus and enjoy what you’re watching for the price should’ve been a lot better. I don’t know if there’s needs to be a patch, a new software or some type of update. I realize at the end of the day hard wiring is the best thing to do, so for now we have the sound bar with a subwoofer. Are there a 7000 and that is great it’s still as well disconnect to connect from the subwoofer, but that is a much rare occasion all I know for the price to the quality I’m very very unhappy and if they change that and they get a lot better with it I deff go back to it but for now that’s what we’re gonna stick with and if we’re gonna do a surround sound , it’s going to be all wired

I use with Sony ht7000. Honestly I’m not blown away for the price. I feel like for the size these things are, the sound output doesn’t match up for me. I’ve tried a bunch of different settings in hopes of making them sound more substantial, but haven’t quite found the trick yet.
