Total disappointment
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had these speakers set up for a few weeks and had non stop sound issues. Every few minutes the speaker would disconnect and reconnect making the sound completely distorted. Returned and got a new pair and same thing. When they worked, they were great but just too much inconsistency with the bluetooth connection.

Way over priced for what you get
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not too bad, they should have not made them battery operated and are way over-priced for the sound they put out. If your looking for rear speakers i would look into other brands. Im afraid this is the best Sony has to offer and they are not too bad but definitely not worth the money

Battery
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The right rear speaker no longer holds a charge after just 3 weeks and will be returned (tested the power cable on the other speaker to make sure it was not a defective cable). The sound is nice when I hear them, which is seldom. Nice speaker, but probably not worth the price for many.

Good for 2023 AVR’s
|Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.3 stars because these paired really well with the Sony AVR AN-1000, but you can barely hear sound out of these when paired with the Sony Ht-a7000 at least when streaming content in ATMOS.

Good speakers, but pricey.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They pair really well and easily to the supported soundbar. The built in battery is not worth it, since the battery life is so short. The speakers are also very large. For their size and mostly thier price, I expect them to be better, but they are pretty good.

$600.00 for this?!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Speakers constantly dropping in and out. When they worked, which was super rare, they were amazing, but it was far too often they didn’t and for the price, wow…I went with Sonos and have had a MUCH better experience.

Premium price, Subpar quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It worked fine for a day, but then the rear right speaker wouldn't connect anymore. Good luck with the support offered and a 2 week replacement. Save yourself time and money. Don't bother with these.

MUST HAVE for HTA-5000 and HTA-7000 Owners!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony SA-RS5 rear speakers are a MUST HAVE if you own the HTA-5000 or HTA-7000. Just put them in your cart if you bought one of those two Sony Soundbars. You definitely want to take full advantage of Dolby and 360 Spatial Sound and add these speakers. They are sleek and follow fit most modern fabric speaker designs without looking like satellite addon speakers of the past cinema setups. They have built-in batteries or the option of a traditional "wired" speaker you plug into the wall. Listen to music and feel like you are at concert with the wide sound stage created by the 360 sound bounces. The overall user experience was a pleasure and now stress. For setup just open the box, unwrap and unpack, then plug them in to charge. They automatically pair but you will need to update the firmware on these to work properly. I updated the firmware by using the update tool within the soundbar software for the easiest experience. After the speaker update, each speaker automatically re-paired and was ready to go. Also do yourself a favor and grab one of the wireless subs to pair for a unique movie watching experience at home. I find myself watching more TV because or the experience 360 Spatial Sound provides as it breathes new life to even my kid's cartoons! Wireless Connection Stability Not a single drop or connection drop since using this. I have lots of interference with wireless devices and this system performs solid. I usually am not a fan of wireless satellite speakers because of signal issues that takes them out periodically. I am happy to say I have not experienced any issues like this using the Sony HT-A5000 sound bar with SA-SW3 Subwoofer. All four devices play well together and create the most amazing sound stage using 360 Spatial Sound Mapping that REALLY WORKS! Audio doesn't lag and everything is in sync with video. Sound Quality and 360 Spatial Sound Mapping What is in each of these amazing wireless wonders? Well, I'm glad you asked! Each speaker has an up-firing speaker, soft dome type tweeter, wide directivity woofer, and dual passive radiators. The up-firing speakers really make a difference in the soundstage. It bounces sound off the ceiling to create more encapsulating and immersive sound to make you really feel part of the scene. The sound clarity and power is excellent for these wireless speakers and the REALLY complete the feeling of being there. Highs are clean and crisp with mids and lows being powerful and clear even in deeper bass drops. I recommend anytime you place the speakers, click the [OPTIMIZE] button so it can remap and initialize 360 Spatial Sound Field Optimization. Mounting Options I absolutely love the flexibility and power of these speakers. Either wired with a charger or completely wireless in battery mode. Put them on a speaker stand or end table, or just maybe wall mounted behind you for a REALLY nice experience and NO WIRES. If you don't want to use them, leave them powered off and you have a traditional soundbar frontal experience. You can hide them and bring them out when you want a more immersive movie experience. YOU HAVE OPTIONS and WITHOUT WIRES. Leave them plugged in and they will automatically power on and connect when you turn on the soundbar. Wireless and Easy Setup Everything is plug and play with minimal effort on my part aside from plugging things in and typing passwords for Wi-Fi access when setting up the soundbar. If you are already up and running on a compatible soundbar the speakers automatically pair. These speakers combined with a compatible soundbar intelligently measure the distance between speakers and ceiling using dual microphones in each speaker for smart and easy set up. Battery life With each unit containing a built-in battery, a 10 min charge gives 90 minutes in a pinch. To me it isn't really an issue because if you can charge it for 10 minutes, you should just use them in "wired mode" with the AC cord plugged in. It's rated for 10 hours battery life fully charged, so it easily gets you through a binge session. For marathons you just switch to AC power. After a week of use, I can say on battery I average about 8 hours of around 40% volume and it sounds amazing. The only downside of battery mode is you must go to each and individually power them on. After a simple click, it works and automatically connects. Verdict In short, if you have purchased the HTA-5000 or 7000, you should be looking at this and a sub to complete the AMAZING 360 Spatial Sound and change your media experience. Using this new technology you will revive old films and hear things like never before!
