It’s about the same as my Nikon 50 1.8. This being paired with the a7riii. 24-70 g master is good. Hoping to get the Sony 85 1.4

Very Unsharp!

Some others had tried it and found that it was not sharp, and it was passed on to me, hoping that it would sell. Not a very good lens for what it is selling for. There are much better choices ,unless you are impressed by the name.

I brought it back.

I was going to go with the sony 50mm but after the horrendous reviews on it I decided to splurge and pick up this one. Boy am I glad I did. Everything is super sharp, fast focus, great bokeh and the build quality is excellent. The only thing I wished it had was a slightly closer minimum focusing distance. A++

Ultra sharp images and milky smooth bokeh! I don't understand why the other reviewer gave this lens a bad score. Do your homework, this lens is truly insane!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was my first sony lens, i bought this right after i bought my Sony A7Rii and let me tell you, this lens does not disappoint. this has to be one of the sharpest lens i have ever shot with. the bokeh at 1.8 its amazing! this lens with the Eye Auto Focus Detection with the A7Rii is the perfect portrait setup!
