I have long been a Sony fan for entertainment electronics, and the SP600N does not disappoint. In the box, in addition to the headphones, are a USB cable for charging and several sizes of soft ear bud covers. First charge the battery, download the app from either Google Play or the Apple Store (Yes, it works on either.), then make a Bluetooth connection to your music source, and you are good to go. For my intended use, listening to music on my deck, I Bluetooth connected the phones to my Amazon Echo, which was a very quick and easy process. It didn’t even require an app download. When up and running, I was pleasantly surprised at the sound quality (treble and bass). Then, out to the deck, and the music stayed with me, and it stayed with me on out into the backyard. The bottom line is, there is no loss of sound quality within a very reasonable parameter. Since the first test, I’ve noticed occasional sputtering when outside, but it’s not enough to condemn the phones. I might take off half a star, but only whole numbers allowed, and it is more 5 star than 4. Another very nice feature is noise cancelling, and I can attest to the job these phones do. While I was on the deck, lawn mowing and yard maintenance was being done. The loud noise from the gas powered weed/grass trimmer was greatly diminished and did not prevent me from enjoying my music. Lesser sounds were simply unheard. My only issue is one that I have with all similar devices. It’s the tiny little controls that are difficult to see, as they are the same color as the device itself. In this case, it’s white on white. Small devices require even smaller controls, so one deals with it. However, that issue has no bearing on the quality sound reproduction from the SP600N. For my use, the size of the controls doesn’t matter; because, with the Echo connection, I can control it by voice via Alexa. So, it’s all good. If you want big sound from a practically weightless device and not be bothered by peripheral noise, you won’t go wrong with the SP600N!

The Sony SP600N has been my travel companion since I purchased it. say goodbye to screaming children and loud airplane noises. These change the harsh loud environment into a blissfully quiet place with just your music or movies. The Sony app that controls the headphones allows you to change the EQ easily which is a feature you can't take for granted now n days. Just be prepared for a firmware update or two when you first download the app. The sound stage of the SP600N is very impressive. Provided a robust and wide sound that felt right for the wide range of music that I listen too. While delivering powerful bass it also delivers rich upper. Seriously lost myself in my music once or twice while flying. Not only do they deliver a rich sound, but they are also quite comfortable. The cord is nice since these are IPX4 resistant. I wear these in the gym as they are sweatproof, when I want to take a break I can wrap the headset around my neck. Again, a nice little feature that is baked right in. Overall, I am quite pleased with how these performed both in how they sound as well as there noise cancellation features.

These were a gift for my husband. I’ve been on the phone with him while he’s used these and the sound quality is horrible. He sounds extremely distant and the noise canceling feature is nonexistent. I could hear everything he was doing and nothing he said.

I thought I would like to have a pair of wireless headphones for use with my iPod when walking but I’m not impressed by the sound of these at all, no matter what setting I had them on they still had a very tin sound, I don’t know where the extra bass was that’s advertised. Also they are not completely wireless, they are connected together with a wire which hangs either around your chin or the back of your neck, there is volume, play, fast forward, rewind control on the wire but you have to take them off or memorize where the controls are because you can’t see them. You need the headphones app to change settings & would be best to control the headphones with. Noise cancelling wasn’t really good either because I could still hear everything going on around me. They are waterproof & charge with a usb cable, sound is pretty loud and you get about 6 hrs playback time. Can be used with iPhone, iPod or android & hands free calling, google assist. USB cable is included as well as a few different sizes of silicone ear buds to fit all sizes. Set up & connection was easy but as far as sound goes, I’ll stick to my wired headphones.
