So like any Bluetooth headset, this is a piece of cake to setup. Start Pairing (single button), and then match on your device... done. good to go. Power is by the standard Micro-USB The AUDIO on these are loud, and clear. The noise canceling was very good. I was able to hear CLEAR music, while I was cutting the lawn (with an electric lawn mower). The downside; the volume, charge, connector portion of the device is bulky... It was dominant on my left side, and was pulling the wire that way the entire time using it. Often catching on my shirt, and pulling out one (or both) of the ears.

    Strong Bass for Sports Headphones

I’m used to exercising with sports headphones that securely clip over the ear, so I was skeptical that these would stay in place. Thanks to the unique design of the earpieces, they stayed secure about 90% of the time. Definitely better than others I’ve tried. I have long hair which causes a bit of drag & pull on the cord. When my hair is up & not a factor, they still didn’t feel completely secure. I also don’t care for the feel of the cord on the back of my neck, especially when sweaty. It becomes irritating after a while. I was very impressed with the sound. These are the first in-ear sports phones I’ve tried that have good bass. Sound is full & crisp. Also, the Sony App has an equalizer and many other options to tweak to your liking. Bluetooth connectivity is flawless & easy to pair. The noise canceling feature is only slightly noticeable & about the same as others I’ve tried in this category. The only true NC I’ve experienced comes from a full over-the-ear style headphone. Overall, I’d say sound quality is five stars & comfort/security is three stars.

These sound just like their true wireless once but with a cable connecting them and better battery life. Otherwise these work just like those and has Noise cancellation with them. Also can turn it off since these are sport focused earphones. These sound good with pretty good bass and miss and slightly toned back Treble it seems. These last 6 hours per charge which isn't bad

The sound quality is really good. I was able to wear them for several hours comfortably and the battery life was a little over the stated battery life. The only item I think could be made better was the length of the wire. I wore them with a shirt with a collar and it tended to get in the way. I realize that these are primarily sports earbuds so it wasn't a big issue.

The key to good noise canceling in an in-ear bud is to get the "in-ear" part to stay, well...in your ear. I found that these Sony SP600N buds stay in better than most in-ear buds I have owned in the past. Plus, the cord is relatively lightweight (compared to other bluetooth in-ears) which goes a long way to preventing tugging when moving your head. There are multiple in-ear tips to choose from. I have found the medium in one ear and one step smaller for the other ear works best for me. They stay in quite nicely and noise cancel well in dry conditions. The earbuds still stay in when sweating but the slightest break in the "seal" between your ear and the bud kind of cancels out the noise canceling feature. Wear these around the office or on a train or in the house and you will be happy with the noise canceling. Wear them at the gym and you might not get the same effect if your ears sweat. Battery life is good, volume is good, and audio quality is great. Very pleased with the overall audio balance and depth once the EQ is tweaked. Use the app to see remaining battery life, set the EQ, control the music player, or adjust the noise canceling settings. (The app is not required to use the headphones--and there is a QR code to help you locate the app.) The phone quality is very good and people said I sounded just fine when talking. I did struggle getting used to the feel of the controls on the earbuds--occasionally skipping or pausing instead of voluming. All-in-all, these are some pretty good in-ear buds with good noise canceling features if you can keep a good "in-ear seal."

Amazing sound quality for both music and podcasts. Battery life is good and setup is easy and straightforward. My only complaint is the cord can sometimes pull the speakers out of your ears when turning your head often but that is a design flaw of all these type headphones.

I had the Bose Sounds port wireless headphones and had to use the warranty. Did some research and decided on these. The sound quality and battery is on par with the Bose wireless headphones. 6hr battery is based on noise cancelation turned off. You get about 3-4 hours with them on. These are super loud and I don't have to turn it all the way up. The ear tips still come out after you sweat at the gym and can be frustrating in the middle of your set. Bose ear tips still the best and never come out. Both Bose and Sony have asymmetrical controls, heavier on one ear than the other, pulling the ear tip out. If you are sweating, the rubber cord sticks to your skin. If you turn your head, it will put the ear tip out your ear. Constantly adjusting the cord.

These headphones have really good sound actually. They look wonderful as well. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I find it a little difficult to fit in mt small ears. As for the noise canceling it did okay but could of been better from past experience.

I liked the concept of noise canceling earbuds, as i already have a pair of noise cancelling over-the-ear headphones and really enjoy those. Opening the box I found everything as expected... seemed like they were built well, they came with 2 sets of ear hooks (Large and small), and a few extra "buds". I used these for working out at the gym and the performed well. Bass was nice and deep, i didn't have any interruptions or Bluetooth disconnects. They fit in my ear nicely, but as it is with all of the style of earbuds that "hang" from your ear, if you turn your head, or sometimes for no reason at all, the "seal" of the bud in your ear breaks, and you have to push it back in... it doesn't fall off your ear or anything... it is just hanging there, not all the way inserted. It gets annoying. Overall, it gets 4/5... great styling and appearance, quality is nice, sound is good.

    Another Nice Sony Product

These are nicer headphones than recent Sony releases in the past. The sound is superior and might even sound crispier than my Beats and Jaybirds. The added ambient sound mode is awesome. The only reasons why I did not give this 4 stars is because the design still feels bulky and heavy on the ears, the noise cancelling did not sound any different from ambient sound, and the Bluetooth to connect was not easy. Above all, the sound is great so these headphones are good for its loudness and bass.

Even though "true wireless" headphones are in the spotlight, companies are still releasing traditional wireless headphones that are connected by a wire. While not as glamarous, they typically have longer battery life and provide a more stable connection, probably due to larger antennas. The Sony WI-SP600N Wireless In-ear Sports Headphones are of that design, with the biggest feature being active digital noise cancelation in a sweat-resistant set designed to stand up to active workouts. From a design-perspective, it actually has an asymmetrical design with a largish module that dangles closer to the left side which houses a number of physical buttons plus the covered microUSB charging port. As you'd expect, multiple sizes of earbuds are included so you can hopefully get a good fit, which is essential for maximizing the sound quality. Going back to the module, all the expected buttons for play/pause and volume and power are joined by a button that toggles between active noise cancellation, ambient sound mode, and no noise cancellation. I found that the noise canceling worked well, much more like the Sony WI-1000X than the Sony WH-CH700N; I'm not sure if that if it just more effective on in-ear headphones or not. In Ambient Sound Mode, it actually uses the microphone to bring in some of the outside sounds, if that's what you're looking for. Sony has a companion mobile app "Sony Headphones Connect" that works with most of their Bluetooth headphones, these included. With the app, you can access some additional settings such as equalization settings. On both iPhone and Android, AAC is the codec I see used, which sounds pretty good. I was a little disappointed that aptX, aptX HD, and Sony's own LDAC are not supported, but AAC still sounded pretty good with tolerable latency. Battery life is reported natively in both iOS and Android, as well as audibly by tapping the power button. On phone calls, call audio goes through both earbuds which is nice, as some sets only send phone audio to one. Overall, I really enjoyed the bass response and overall sound of this headset, and the noise canceling works as expected. The IPX4 water resistance means I can enjoy great sound while working out at the gym without worrying damage caused by sweat.

I was eagerly awaiting my shipment of my Sony - SP600N Sports Wireless Noise Canceling Earphones. I've been using a low-end version from another brand and they kept falling out during my workouts. These in-ear headphones fit snug and comfortably in my ears. I've used them during several different workout sessions from running, biking and yard work. Each time, they have performed extremely well. I found during hot weather that I needed to take them out of my ear periodically to cool off, but they were fine when the temps are reasonable. Great product!

    True Noise Cancelling for Sports

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The SP600N headphones fall into a hard-to-find category: True noise cancelling (not just "noise reducing") headphones designed for sports. No band around your neck, no bulky earphones, just small, easy-to-wear headphones with active noise cancelling that works quite well. While the cancelling capabilities are not as good as Sony's 1000-series, they are still excellent in their capability of blocking out the outside noise, which is good if you're in the gym having to listen to their garbage being pumped overhead. The noise cancellation can be controlled with a button on the headphones or the app, with the ability to be in full noise cancellation mode, ambient sound mode (where the microphones intentionally allow outside noise in), or noise cancellation off. Active noise cancellation obviously is the best, but uses the most battery. Ambient is great when using these while walking, running, or biking, allowing you to hear traffic or others around you, while "off" makes them just regular old headphones without any of the bonus features. One disappointment was the fact that unlike the 1000-series, the headphones or the app won't switch into different modes based on your detected activity (the 1000's will tell if you're riding on bus or train & go full cancellation, or if you're walking or running & go into ambient mode). Instead, you have to toggle these manually. The only other disappointment is when you touch the headphones when they're in your ear they amplify that touching noise based on the placement of the mics in the earphones themselves. Battery life is excellent, getting more than 8 hours easily in full cancellation mode. Comfort is also quite good with multiple sizes of silicone earbuds included. They also include pieces to help secure these inside the folds of your ear for better fit when active. The buttons for controlling the features are also a treat. Each button is shaped or covered differently, making it easy to find volume, play/pause control, on/off, and noise cancellation modes. Most other headphones you have to fumble to find the right button or take the headphones off altogether to activate something. Overall, these are excellent headphones with great noise cancelling capabilities in a true sports/active headphone.

I am very happy with these headphones. The small control box doesn't weigh down the cord and cause the earbud to come out - an issue I've had before. This may also be due to the design of the earbud also as it has a small lever arm that fits in your ear as well. I am glad these fit so snugly and keep the external noise to a minimum; I'm notoriously hard on headphone and earbuds, mostly because I wear them when I am exercising or doing yard work.

I got these on a replacement plan because my previous Razer Hammerhead BTs broke. I was excited at first to use Sony and then was disappointed later when I used them. Returned them a day later and the reasons are listed below. I used to DJ so I have a lot of experience with headphones sound quality and features so please use this review to your advantage. Pros- Decent sound & good bass and seemed to have a long range connectivity wise. Cons- Noise cancelling feature and ambient noise is garbage. You hear echo and background noise is amplified on every phone call making it annoying to talk on the phone. I tried cycling through all the settings and its still horrible doesn't even make sense why they do that but terrible for phone use. ( Granted my work environment is loud) this makes it even worse to try and talk hearing yourself and everything around you amplified even when in off position. Even when you are not listening to music or on a call and they sit in your ear you can hear a low echo or hiss at all times. - No track >> / << or skip option. I mean its headphones for music so the fact that you cant change or cycle through music is stupid IMO especially from a company that's known for music. TERRIBLE even $10 ones can do that. - The cord is left side heavy with controls so you feel the cord tighten on your neck as it always seems to drag to the left side riding up the right side of your neck always having to adjust them adjusting them. After having previous wired Sony headphones in the past and coming back to Sony years later for wireless I must say that I will never buy another Sony Headphone product. I was skeptical on getting these cause even older pairs were always just ok. Very disappointed. I will go without headphones for a few days until they restock the Razer Hammerhead BT. Hands down best headphones for music and functionality, comfort and overall features and attention to detail.

I'm usually not a fan of in-ear buds but these may be the second most comfortable for me. My JayBird Runs are superb. These sound great, the noise cancelling is great for just focusing, you can still somewhat hear when people are calling your name and extreme noise. Overall they're my backups when I forget my Jaybirds.

These are basically the same as the SP700N except with a somewhat annoying wire that you have to deal with. If you're more for convenience and can spend a few more dollars on an upgrade, I would recommend the SP700N instead. Just like with the SP700N, the noise cancelling is a bit questionable and I would expect more at this price point. But it gets the job done.

The SP600N is a good Bluetooth earbud. I do have the difference with the noise cancelling feature on. It sounded like a muffler had been placed over the music or podcast. Not necessarily cleaning up background noise, but more or less softening the sound. Overall, they do the job, and I would recommend, but I'll keep using my current Bluetooth earbuds for now.
