Best sound in headphones I've used

I can honestly say, this was probably the best bluetooth headphones I've used for working out. The sound is great. Actually the best I've experienced. I'm sure they have some that are more expensive that crank out better sound but if you want to experience the music these won't let you down (audiophiles that like to be active may appreciate these). I gave these as a gift and was upset that I didn't get them for myself once I heard the sound quality. I got these on sale for $79 and with $50 reward certificates, only spent $30. If you see these on sale at any point, check them out for yourself. They are great for the gym or when going on a run (they are noise canceling so be aware of your surroundings as you want really hear what's going on around you).

These are great for suppressing outside noises. They are good for about 3 hours or more on a charge. Sometimes I just put them in my ears with no music or anything for some quiet time.

I bought these for use on my motorcycle. Noise cancelling works excellent, I use them at work all the time. Near 6 hrs per charge still.

Bought these for my wife, she has bose wired noise canceling earbuds currently but was looking for wireless alternatives. She says these are pretty good, they have occasional dropouts and the noise canceling isn't as good as the Bose but for the price no complaints.

Extremely satisfied with these wireless in-ear headphones. Noise cancelling works well and sound quality is better than wired. Phone app even updated the software in the headphones. Very lightweight.

I wanted to like these enough to keep them. The sound is really good but I was looking for good noise-canceling buds and these don't seem to fit the bill. From my experience, buds that claim noise canceling don't really deliver compared to over-the-ear headphones.

Love the Sony SP600N buds. Great sound and the noise cancelation is par excellence. Only glitch is with a rigorous workout. That doesn't really happen that much anyway. I am able to run and lift ok though. Very pleased and would recommend highly.

I was very impressed with the quality of sound and loved the fact that it came with a corresponding app which included an equalizer. The disappointment came when wearing it around and the wire kept slipping off my neck to one side or the other. In addition to that, the battery life wasn’t fantastic either. After only an hour or two of music and a phone call, the battery would be dying. I ended up returning it for these two reasons but was really sad to have to do that because the sound was so awesome.

Great quality headphones. Only thing I don’t like is if I’m multi-tasking while using these to talk on the phone, the person I’m talking to can hear everything I’m doing, it doesn’t muffle surrounding sounds at all.

These earphones have very good sound quality. It’s clear and resonant. The problem is, they don’t stay in your ears very well. Tried different tips but had the same problem with all. Wound up returning them. Other people might have better luck, though

My husband needed a new pair of headphones for working out. The sound quality is great. I didn't give 5 stars because they didn't fit perfectly in my husband's ears so now my child has expensive headphones and is very happy.

Great earbuds overall for all types of music. The only problem I had was taking calls the caller can hear all the environmental noise surrounding you. I hope they can work on that little issue on the following model. Other than that SONY always delivers.

    Terrific Sound, Bulky Control Bud

If you like small headphones with impressive sound, you should really check out the Sony SP600N Sports earbuds.  When I first tried the SP600N, I was immediately impressed with the rich sound. These are the best earbuds I've ever heard. Let's be clear about that upfront. This is even my favorite form factor for earbuds. I've alway prefered earbuds with a cable between them. It makes them harder to lose. It also makes it very convenient to drape them around your neck when you're not using them.  Unfortunately, the neckbud control on the SP600N is large and heavy, much heavier than other control buds I've used. For someone like myself (bald, no hair to help the cable stay more fixed) the weight on the left side was a substantial problem. The cable kept shifting and pulling due to he weight. This would easily be a strong 5-star review love it review if the control bud if not for this issue. Otherwise, these buds have a lot going for them. They are IPX4 rated, so they can handle pretty much any moisture short of immersion.  The Sony music app is very helpful. You can choose a sound profile. Unlike some other earbuds, the sound profiles actually make a noticeable difference. Also, the app lets you control the degree of noise cancelation, which I really appreciate. Of course, the SP600N comes with a variety of size options for the tip that inserts into your ear as well as two different size wings to help keep the fit secure. I'm very pleased with the comfort and fit in the ear. Due to the neckbud design, battery life is better than other earbuds that are just the buds themselves. You can count on about 6 hours of use.  Volume is excellent, and the sound is very well-rounded. The bass can be punched up via the app. Regardless, the sound is rich and clear across all spectrums.  And phone calls work well due to dual microphones and strong software.  Overall, these earbuds offer tremendous sound and are a good value. If the control bud was about 40% lighter, they'd be perfect.

The sound was clear and bass sounded very good. Calls were never clear. I could always hear well but they could never hear me loud or clearly enough. The microphone with all the function buttons is on the left side relatively close to the left ear bud, and it’s heavy compared to the overall weight of the headphones. So much so that I found myself often having to adjust the headphones around my neck when I wasn’t listening to music. They would slowly but surely fall to the left due to the weight of the microphone piece. There is no clip to keep the headphones pinned to you when you are using them. It’s very easy to lose the feeling of the headphones around your neck so you never realize exactly when they begin to slip. Needless to say, I lost mine 2 weeks ago. I would not purchase them again. They cost too much to not work well plus I don’t want to spend $100+ on headphones that don’t feel secure. Sony definitely needs to look into adding a small clip or countering the weight so that the headphones don’t slip off your shoulders.

Decided to give these a try since I wanted something stable during my runs and workouts in the gym. Head sounds great and does not fall out when running or doing ab workouts like my old one did.

they are nice and don't have a massively long cord that hangs to your nether regions. the sound is good, about as good as a $50-75 headset. the noise canceling is virtually non-existent. they never stayed in my ears with the slightest tug on the cable, maybe I've got weird ears. if you want portable and good noise canceling, get the Bose version of these. they will stay in your ear better too.

Great headphones. Noise cancelling is amazing for an in-ear system. Stays on during workouts so I don’t have to worry about losing them in the middle of a set.
