The sound is great, however, I wish I would have shopped around first. I could have saved 20.00 by comparing it to other brands with much longer battery life before recharging. This gives you about 6 hrs while other premium competitive models have a much longer battery span before recharging. Just a little bit of research could have saved me at least 20.00 for the same thing. Otherwise, it's pretty good.

12 hours: Volume level of the unit set to 34, the sound mode set to STAMINA.
10 hours: Volume level of the unit set to 31 and with the factory default settings (sound mode: EXTRA BASS).
3 hours: Volume level of the unit set to maximum and with the factory default settings (sound mode: EXTRA BASS).
As with any battery operated speaker, Actual performance time may vary from the listed time due to the volume, songs played, surrounding temperature, and usage conditions.

My only recommendation would be for the power button, volume etc.. that they would be more visible. While its sleek that you can barely see them, it is difficult for someone older. This was a gift for my 94 year old father and he definitely has trouble with the buttons.

Its a Sony Budget Speaker, you get what you expect

The bass is not as punchy as the JBL but I like it this way better. The USB-C is a great addition but removal of NFC is missed. Also removal of AUX is not that bad as thr latency is almost 0.
