It is a very good Bluray with 4K UHD Ultra HD Player, 4K Playback, HDR, DTS Dolby True HD, Dolby Atmos. We bought to listen to musing in real True HD sound. It is also a smart player for Netflix and Hulu.

I've heard complaints about just about every 4k player out there including this one. I have used this player several times and haven't had a single problem. Bottom line, I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

I had no idea how good a movie can sound at home until I played a 4K disc on this player! Top quality at an affordable price. Highly recommend this player!

I'm surprised this Sony product sucks so bad. It freezes, won't turn off/on so you need to unplug it then plug it back up, it won't read the disc. The video quality is good but the sounds sometimes is so low, that even turning the volume all the way up, it doesn't make a difference. Spend your money on a cheaper, better quality product because this ain't it.

I"ve always loved Sony Blu-ray Players and this one is so worth the cost especially if your are about ready to upgrade to 4K. I got this for the value and I will be going UHD soon so I'm ready for the future.

I got this to replace an older BD player on its last leg. Response time, streaming stability and quality are much better than I was expecting. By far the player I have purchased so far! Highly recommended

This is a great blu ray player. I've only had it for a few months but it's working great so far. The set up was a little tricky since I'm not super tech savvy but I got a friend to do it.

You can't beat the quality of Sony with this new companies that has no great customers service. They are there when I called them for a question. Samsung sucks..

We have been very pleased with the picture, but the user interface on Sony Blu-rays is not pleasant. The less you are on it the better.

Trusted the Best Buy magnolia reps when the got me to buy the UBPX800 4k bluray player. I wasn’t able to try it out after I bought it until I was past my 45 day return period due to an unexpected room renovation. Went to use it the first time this past weekend. The down arrow does not work on the remote but after calling Sony, they are sending me a new remote. I’m sitting here watching oblivion in 4k and the picture froze just like some other reviewers wrote. Great! I should have bought the Samsung like I was first going to buy but then let the other magnolia rep tell his colleague to sell me the Sony not the Samsung. I should have said no, I want what I want, This unit is normally a $299 unit, I paid $249 and now Black Friday 2018 it’s down to a low $199... hmmm do ya think it’s because they know it’s a faulty unit and they have to clearance them out? My other fault was that I didn’t read reviews on this before it. First Sony unit I’ve ever experienced trouble with. I won’t be happy if this unit continues to freeze up. Sony should be recalling these units as they’re defective and upgrading us to the next best model. Then I’d be happy, Only good find in this unit is that it’s a region free player and will play my PAL Blu-ray’s.

Like my new Sony sound bar speaker system Has doby atmos n have the old version with out atmos n still use with Sony 3D tv.

It is pretty straightforward to operate and have not had any problems loading 4K DVDs as some of these do. Remote is a little clunky in size. Price seems a little high.

Bought this for the home theater. Except for one incident where the player would not turn on, it has worked fine. Love the quality of the picture output.

I bought this 4K player since it was a Sony but I was very disappointed with this player it would stop half way through the movie or not play at all. And with DVDs it would skip constantly I returned the player as soon as I could.

The player is very easy to setup and plays both blueray and dvds. The picture quality is great. Paired with a Sony 4k tv and we are really enjoying everything we play on it.

Put it together in no time. Turned the fireplace on and the heater wasn’t working properly. Called manufacturer and the sent new one out immediately!!! Love it!!

I had bought a PS4 pro, then I bought a Sony 65" OLED TV then I found out that PS4 pro doesn't play 4k movie's so I needed to get a 4k Blu Ray player.

Upscales our Blu-ray’s to near 4K on my Epson projector! Can’t wait to try at Ultra 4K Blu-ray in Dolby Atmos once I upgrade my surround sound!

This DVD player is fantastic! It optimizes the image and plays with quick response. There are many app features that also come in handy!

Still learning to use this unit but it appears that it can do everything that we needed to do and it's a great add to our music and TV viewing
