A: Buy a different 4k player. I have the same issues. Unhappy with the sound myself, and tried 3 different 4k HDMI cables as well.
A: It would not play a 4k disc more than 20 minutes and then turn itself off.

A: No it doesn’t have a timer on the front face. I think you have to get Sony’s ES line blu Ray player to get it. The Ubp-x1000ES.
