    We purchased what we thought was a high quality Blu-Ray player but after a very short time it stopped working. Most of our media equipment is Sony because it is of high quality and integrates well, however, the UBP-UX80 failed us. Because we used it rarely we didn't know exactly when it stopped recognizing Blu-Ray discs, and therefore would just simply hang, not allowing us to use any of the remote control or operating buttons. We could not even eject the disc. Our warranty expired and Sony never responded to our email about the issue and their telephone number was not monitored for service calls. We still love Sony products, but this one let us down.
