I have a weird screen flash when on the menu screen, but not when the movies are playing. I've tried a few 4k and HDR titles and honestly I don't get the hype. Maybe it's my TV, I'm told it isn't the best for HDR. But it is a heavy, quiet device so that's an upgrade from my older player.

Great 4K player. Really good value for the money. This is the second one I've bought, so I could replace another brand in another part of the house. Setup was easy.

This DVD was purchased for an outdoor movie night projector setup I'm doing. So far I'm happy with the purchase and like the apps made available on the unit. I havent been able to locate how to add more apps which is the down side, but still happy with the unit.

Very nice BluRay player with 4K UHD capability. Upgraded with purchase of a 4K 77" OLED TV. First 4K movie was "No Time to Die" - it was awesome to watch!

Wonderful Blu-ray player. It connects to my ethernet system so I can get to my NAS collection of movies and songs.

This is an excellent player. Sony obviously has the corner of the market in decent players. Even their cheap ones rule the roost, but this one is even more so the player to get.

Average player. Slow to start up and navigating menu screens is challenging. Picture quality is fine.

Unfortunately, in spite of all its other great features, it would not read most of my movies via USB thumb drive. Also the front USB interface plastic tab was poorly designed and flimsy. I could imagine it breaking off before too long with repeated use. I am assuming the issue had to do with its codecs list installed in the software. I ended up buying an LG 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray model that encountered none of these problem issues.

I bought this in part because it was advertised as having bluetooth out. That is, you can stream audio from the player to a pair of bluetooth headphones. Add in the noise-cancelling feature of some headphones, and listening becomes even easier.

Haven’t had a chance to test the capability of this yet but by reading others reviews before purchase that’s what drew me to this model .. it’s features for the price was good

This disc player is a little finicky! (might have just been this particular one). When it worked, it was GREAT! Finally died completely with one week left on warranty!!!! No [problems from Sony, they replaced it without issue, and I've had no problems with the new one.

Chris is simply outstanding. He is so patient and always goes above and beyond when installing audio and visual equipment!! My Geek squad technician of vhoice!!

Unit freezes during playback on brand new disks. Good picture and sound when it works. Upscales bluray disks nicely. Had to return due to freezing up.

Plays all my discs including DVD audio and SACD as well as Dolby Digital DVDs and standard (non 4k) blu rays. This is a true universal player which is why I bought it over the 700 series.

This is the best 4K player available. Excellent performance and quiet operation.

 This player works fine except for the sound. On many occasions, the sound will cut off and on and it’ll continue to do it until I turn it off and turn it back on. Sometimes I have to turn it off and on several times for the glitch to go away. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I just recently updated the software, hoping that would make it go away, but it is still dit. It’s very annoying, especially when I do have to turn it off several times to get it to stop. 

Replaces an older player that would no longer read a disk. Seemed to be the best option given recent reviews and was on sale. WiFi set up was easy and was pleased that the custom remote control I have for managing multiple devices didn't require reprogramming.

Blu Ray is a good medium if you still have any discs, but streaming no seems to come in higher resolution. Also, there is no way to use this player to stream DSD digital audio of an SACD to a DAC, so pretty useless from that perspective. Eh. OK but not great.

Great player, simple connection and operation. Very sturdy model. Operation is via the remote - other than opening the tray and power on/off. Overall a great addition to my home system.

Was using my Xbox as a dvd player but this certainly was a BIG upgrade. Love my standard, Blu-ray & 4k movies. Also great with my music cds..
