No problems. Works perfectly. Apps work faster than through my "stick" streaming device. Wish it had a display on the front of the unit, not a deal breaker though.

I'm very pleased with this player. The picture and sound are excellent, and the interface is VERY clean and uncluttered (I enjoy sorting through sixty apps to find the one that starts the disk). At the time of purchase (5-3-22), the player holds my place when I stop a disk and go back to it later. I saw lots of reviews griping that it didn't do that, and I can only assume that Sony actually listened, because this one does.

The Sony DVD player is definitely an excellent product of choice. I like the option of the different types of DVDs it will play. I suppose the real test of a product is time. But, so far I’m very happy with this product.

Yes, we have only had one opportunity to view movies from this 4K dvd player. From the reviews I read before my purchase, this player surpasses all others as far as quality and all the plus features. Of course, these don't really matter to me but the quality of picture and audio sound we experienced was outstanding. The last brand of this dvd player which I received as a gift was a Phillips and I only was able to use it for about 10 playings of movies before it completely quit working! Hopefully, Sony quality will come through and last much, much longer!

I wanted a player that could play cd, dvd, sacd, etc. Since Oppo seems to be defunct this is the only reasonably priced alternative. I like the dedicated audio hdmi out. Criticisms? Since the only outs are hdmi I needed a converter (from Monoprice) to obtain a way to hook it into my stereo receiver. Also, there is no display: you must use your TV to access setup. Finally, I had a question about that setup that the Sony tech answered correctly. I am pleased with my purchase...and Best Buy price matched.

Excellent picture and set up was a breeze. Even standard DVD's now play with a better picture than before.

Really enjoyed the EZ use of the remote and how to set everything up. I hooked it together with my new cords and the quality is very well achieved.

Sony has up graded this player years and this one has been better than the last .

Fine and very solid disc player that does a great job with 4K movies...and will also play my SACD discs! Make sure you hit the "home" button on the remote to go into the settings - especially for music files - and you can default to 192 Hz for your higher end stuff, as well as DSD for the format. If you have a decent Atmos set up for your home theater this player is a good choice. Can't go wrong with Sony.

Fantasy sounds that never leave you disappointed. If you’re in the market for a good quality soundbar, I highly recommend this one.

Great player thus far with one minor but well known annoyance and that is no auto switching dolby vision. Everything looks great from dvd to 4k and this model plays every major optical format including SACD and DVD audio. Although the minor dolby vision switching issue can annoy i will not dock any points because this is a fantastic player and a little bonus that everyone may not know is the UI and disc boot up is faster on this model than LG or panasonics players ive tested against.

Solid HD blu-ray player, and very quiet. My only gripes are that it sometimes locks up on movie menus, not allowing the movie to play or take inputs from controller. Seems to be a common issue with this model, that may be fixed in a firmware update. Other than that issue, no complaints, great quality, easy to use, and high quality.

Five stars! This is the 2nd time I bought one of these, because the SACD sounds great through this, so I needed it in two rooms. I definitely like this, and the music and sound come through so clearly! Can't go wrong on this.

Fantastic image and sound quality. Exactly what I wanted in a player. Simple interface. I dont have fo navigate through a bunch of menus dedicated to streaming services. I have a Roku for that. I wanted this specifically for my discs.

Very good build quality, works great and easy to use

This player is easy to set up and start playing Blu-ray movies within a few minutes. Great picture (video) and sound through my AV system.
